When he drops another “oh” just as Maika’s sitting down it feels so perfect ha I love this character. This & Raising Arizona my favorite Nic Roles, what a legend, I thought he was a bozo 10-20 years back. Shows how much I know. Dude was just working & making money on some dumb movies but I’m sure there’s some other decent ones I’ve missed. Insane how much life really teaches as the years go by.

What a pleasant conversation, I hope this Longlegs character doesn't do anything absolutely insane after the video ends

No one can do what Nic Cage does. He takes such huge risks and chances with his characters. His range is incredible. He can do straight, dramatic, serious roles and win an Oscar. He can poke fun at himself and do comedy. He can play psychotic, crazy, unhinged people. He can do crowd-pleasing action movies. This man does not get enough credit.

I'm going to be 100 percent honest when I say this. I genuinely enjoyed this movie, it is one of my favourite movies of this year by far. And to see some of the reviews of Longlegs being not so positive is quite sad. Because I was legit terrified throughout the entire movie, covering my mouth during almost every scene (Including this scene with Lee and Longlegs). My heart literally almost stopped when Longlegs started bashing his head on the desk, so grim and gnarly. There is so much to love here, the cinematography, Zilgi's outstanding music, the performances from Maika Monroe and especially Nicolas Cage, the use of Lighting, and sound editing. I enjoyed every detail on this movie and I'm really glad that I watched it. Thanks to Longlegs, Oz Perkins is now one of my favourite filmmakers of this generation.

Damn he gives me Joker vibes!!! This scene is so chilling and disturbing yet incredibly superb acting!!! Nicolas Cage deserves another Oscar for his terrifying performance as LongLegs, this man went hard in his role such a fucking great actor!!! Maika Monroe is indeed thee Scream Queen, she’s incredible actress as the brave FBI agent Lee Harker!!! Fun fact this interrogation scene, Maika was actually traumatized that’s why she’s breathing heavily & panicking yet she’s still performing her role!!! It looks so realistic to what you’re seeing here. This movie is insane but a great movie that I seen in the theaters 👏💯

It’s very rare that I see acting that is done so well that the actor disappears, and I don’t even see Nicolas Cage when I watch this. I mean, I have to tell myself that’s Nick Cage to recognize him otherwise when I’m watching the movie, Nicolas Cage is gone. and I don’t even mean the amount of makeup they gave him obviously I can recognize that as Nicolas Cage, but his acting is so spot on that he disappears

He disappeared into the prosthetics that he became physically unrecognisable, but yeah that voice and mannerisms too are unreal.

Unpopular opinion here: I Love This Film!! 🤘 I don’t give a shit if it’s not the “most terrifying move of the year” (as it was marketed) but it has the right dose of obscurity and satanism which is my type of jam 🧐👌
@SomeGuy-fn7in2 ай бұрын
I love how he sits up and braces himself with his feet and the chains as he prepares to cave his own face in. The movie was good, but Cage’s performance stands with the likes of Hannibal Lecter or Anton Chigurh as some of the best depictions of psychopathic killers in film.

@amyswallow7422 ай бұрын
notice Longlegs and Harker are both wearing only white (shirts anyways). Longlegs is wearing white on white which means it was very intentional as if to signify he knows his work is now done and he is cleansed. Harker is wearing white because she is subconsciously tapped in and probably felt the desire to wear that particular shirt without knowing why. I also notice that most of the film she is wearing bulky dark turtlenecks. However when she is piecing together the murder mystery with all the symbols and ritual dates she is wearing that same white shirt. This shirt is looser and flowey compared to her other clothing and it reveals her chest which could mean this is when she is at her most vulnerable and connected to the demonic.

I am watching this movie for a second time I've noticed some things that seem to be important. First of all Lee's last name is Harker, which is the name of the lawyer that travels to Dracula's Castle (Johnathan Harker and his bride is Minna) the scene when Lee takes Agent Carter home (cause he drank too much to drive) Carter's daughter asks Lee to see her room. While they are in the girls room she tells about how to make veal calves are kept tied up and not given any exercise. This stands out because it is somewhat off topic but she tells Lee about this after she mentioned that her Father doesn't want her to grow up too fast. Which I interpret to be related to the targeted victims are killed when they turn 9 years old. I have grown to love this movie because it is quite a puzzle to sort out

The way he gets so emotional w/her I see why some jst don’t get it- But it implicates *so* much. Satan *wanted* Lee, bad. & if he couldn’t have her? He sure as hell was gonna use her to tell God “🖕yeah, I did that. We’re always at war f$$ker.” His “emissary”, Kobble “Longlegs” almost idolizes her. There’s a *lot* going on in between the lines the entire film. When they’re watching him sing “happy birthday” to Lee, 1st interview. *So* many people don’t realize his power of foresight is so strong, he’s literally looking RIGHT at Browning, Carter, & Lee…who are all next in his scheme How would he know “where they’d be standing” to actually look *right* in their direction? This film has so much; watch it at home, its dark implications will stick in the mind. If you give it a chance. Movie was fantastic. Remember!; SO MANY called Hereditary “boring” when it was released Let the impossible hype die down & forget the people “looking for cheap thrills” or expecting another “Se7en” or “Silence of the Lambs”…just enjoying *this* ride for itself It’ll be a classic, guaranteed. It was made with like…5 mil at that??? Hell Silence of the Lambs was made w/20 mil in the 90’s; that’s what, 80 mil now? Yeah-this film has *much* more going on than people realize

Not knocking your opinion. I enjoy a good discussion of films. What made you feel it was all over the place? I found it to be well-contained and showed how much influence Longlegs had on both the FBI in Maika and Blair, but also within the world itself. I didn't expect Maika's character's mom to be an accomplice, but enjoyed that twist.
