Feedback on the weird hook: We used an awkward and ridiculous use of our product as a hook. Something that if you would do it on the streets, everybody would look at you wondering « what is she doing » It worked amazingly well! Near 100% better CTR than other hooks with the same video content. Crazy As for the other hooks they worked okay about 10% increase in hook rate (2 to 3 percentage points)👍

I think that higher CTRs are usually generated by impulse buyers, or at least "impulse clickers". On the other side, people that click on the ad after watching it (the hooked ones) are more informed and this increased their intent.

Hi, great video. on the script you say hook rate = impressions / 3 second video plays while on the screen, the formula is hook rate = 3 second video plays / impressions. just want to clear that up. thanks in advance!

17% hook rate with IDR 14.280 Cost per conversion 49% hook rate with IDR 18.292 Cost per conversion Not too sure if hook rate is a "realiable" metric At least that's from my pov, interested on your experience

Great question. Not really. Some people equate CTR, but I am skeptical. I generally look at Amount Spent and Purchase volume here and ruthlessly split test the elements of the image ads to figure out what is working here.

This is also a very interesting topic since I started to pay attention to hooks just recently. ;) Anyways I feel like I need to ask you about something different - in your ad manager (in this vid) I can see that one campaign is not set on "Purchase" but on "ATC". I know your channel since about 1,5 year now and I know that you are kind of "Purchase team" in most cases if it is about campaign objectives. Could you please reveal why did you use ATC in that specific case? I would really appreciate that. Still love your non bs content, never change! ;)

Honestly, when I stop to watch a social media ad I will not buy the product or look at the product via the post. I tap the profile and get to the product page via their bio. Not sure if that actually by-passes the CTR, but just a theory.

Uhh... I just created the "hook rate" metric and all my numbers are showing up as 0.34, 0.41, 0.52... Are we supposed to multiply these by 100 or is my hook rate literally less than 1%?
