Hello dear I will be arriving in Oshawa in September 2023. Can you please recommend safe and affordable areas for a female student to find accommodation?
@thelisaabbottteam Жыл бұрын
Hey! That can really depend on a few different things. If you want to send me an email or give me a call, I can help point you in the right direction and suggest some areas. You can email at info@oshawahomesales.com or text/call 289-600-5502 🙂

That's going to depend on a few different factors, but like the neighbourhoods I mentioned in this video, there are some really nice areas in Oshawa. You can call or text me at 289-600-5502 and we can talk about what areas might work for you and your family.

These areas are so nice. Very expensive, though. The rough around the edges areas, are "more" affordable.
@thelisaabbottteam Жыл бұрын
They definitely lean on the more expensive side. McLaughlin & Pinecrest have a fair amount of more affordable homes. I might make a video in the near future focusing on a few pockets throughout Durham that have affordable options available.

@The Lisa Abbott Team that would be awesome! We want to eventually upgrade from our starter home so would love more info on more affordable pockets in nice areas

Is centennial neighborhood bad? You didn't mention it in this video as well as the avoid video.
@thelisaabbottteam Жыл бұрын
Centennial community has a lot of great areas! The one area I would just be aware of in Centennial is right around Nonquon road, but other than that, there are some really charming pockets in there!

Thanks for the video. Please is around Simcoe North Street safe because my family and I will be moving to Oshawa in August and my lectures will be at 11 Simcoe North street. Is the area safe?

You might want to alter your videos somewhat to make them more inclusive. Not everyone looking is a young family. I am a recent retiree looking to move to Ontario, outside of Toronto and basically wasted my time watching. Not once have you mentioned any information for my demographic. I don’t care about schools (unless it’s too avoid them!) or huge houses with big lots. How about some quiet locations AWAY from schools and close to things that would interest a senior (beyond lawn bowling 😛). The 1111 Wilson Road bungalows are the only thing that piqued my interest in this otherwise drawn out video. In fact it is a quiet area with seniors apparently, yet you mentioned nothing about that. Your information may be helpful for young families, but don’t forget us (somewhat) oldies. Our money is just as good and probably more readily available.

Hi Claire, I totally understand where you are coming from and am happy to make a video more specifically for the retiree demographic! The majority of the viewers that watch my channel and the home buyers who have reached out to me from this channel have mostly been first time buyers with young children or looking to start a family in the next few years. The truth is, most first time buyers want similar things, but seniors looking to make their last move have a little bit less in common. Some want to move to the country, some want to move into a condo so there is very little maintenance and maybe even split the year between here and Florida, and then some want bungalows in mature neighbourhoods/pockets. If you want to get my opinions straight from the source, you can always reach out to me at 289-600-5502 and I am happy to have a chat with you!

The nicest neighbourhood in Oshawa is O'Neil, but we're full, so stay away.
