I'd argue that the 6th misconception is that "Limbo is the troll frame" Sure, you can be a pain in the butt cheek with him, but (although it's been awhile since I played him) Limbo can be so much more. I'd argue he's actually the "big brain frame" if there ever was one, most players just don't know what to do with him so they troll (or tryhard and look like they're trolling)

Hear me out: warframe is pay to fashion. Tennogen cosmetics are too good to skip sometimes. That is the only Pay to x I am willing to accept, as someone who has put probably £150 - 200 into the game across 6 or so years

It's not even pay to fashion, it's pay to _better_ fashion. You can get some seriously awesome looking skins, armor pieces, Syandanas etc. all from plat which you can farm for free. Tennogen items aren't entirely necessary and only certain pieces may capture a person's interest enough to buy them. I didn't buy a single Tennogen item until I'd already made hundreds of fashion frames.

Hell no. The writers prioritise being vague far more than actually answering questions. There are plot points that have been left dangling for a decade. 95% of players couldn't even tell you what tf happens in most quests because its just explained poorly.

@@giles.9862 Their problem... show, don't tell. They show, they hint, talk about a lot of things without info dumps. If you can't fill in the "gaps" it's not their problem. There is a lot of things there. SPOILER AHEAD. Talking about Fortuna, you are first introduced to this robot holding a gun that seems to be a guard for the other working, then you realise that Eudico is not a guard for the people working, but to protect them from outside. You are slowly introduced that their organs are harvested for payment, how they live, what they fear, and when you reach rank 5 they literally open to you. And the reason the Ventkids are hidden in the vents, is to protect them when the taxmen come. You can understand the soft spot that Grandma has for them, buying the vents from Anyo, she probably was a skater when she was young. They never shove an infodump on you, you can get all the nuances by how they talk and what they say.

Playing since 2014, an even years ago I compared the story to the "the time machine" movie or "all tomorrows". It's a scenario in the future BEYOND the future, a rare trope in sci-fi. It's more than just "post-apocalyptic", civilization got so advanced, way beyond nuclear warfare and stuff, to colapse under it's own weight; now people are "starting anew from the ruins". But so much time has passed, and bioengeneering and stuff, that is questionable if some factions are still "human".

YES THE GAME IS STILL ALIVE AND MORE THAN EVER. Or when I talk about it's story people are like: "Oh it's story is actually good? I just thoight it was some 3D shooter qnd the quests were just tutorials."

The story matters, I just don't remember anything to understand it anymore. My 50 percent octavia / mesa usage also says hi The only thing that I disagree with is about not staying behind if you only play casually. Warframe needs heavy time investment for you to get access to everything, you got diffrent standings, weeklies and dailies, all the resources you need for crafting and helminth, everything you need to level for mr, farming plat from diffrent ways, unless you are playing JUST for the story alot of other contents are locked behind a grind wall which won't be finished by it self, you need to invest alot of time to access things you like.

I think the difference between "hardcore" and "casual" isn't always the amount played, but how quickly it's done. A hardcore player will play for hours a day, and a casual player will play maybe a couple a week. Only real difference is when you get to endgame, and warframe isn't a game where you have to be at endgame to enjoy it

1. "Warframe is pay to win" Nobody bothered to mention that this is a co-op focused game. A game simply cannot have a "pay-to-win" tag if there is no possible way in it for one player to stomp out another with his wallet alone. Sidenote, Warframe does have PvP but it's so utterly pointless nobody bothers with it. 2. "You have to master every Warframe to be good" Whoever says this clearly has no freakin idea what Warframe is about. Currently there are 107 frames in the game, that's atleast 53 unique warframes that offer different playstyles each. Good freakin luck sparing enough time to play them all, let along muster enough grind time with them. You're either a Nuke fanatic, a CC freak, a buffer, a speedster, or you run Octavia on endless missions because you can't be bothered to think... Master the frames you like to play, enough said. 3. "Warframe is for hardcore players" Bullcrap... the HARDCORE community that actively endulges in a dickmeasuring contest to see who can cap out on damage faster is an extremely small minority. Most of us play Warframe because its gameplay is simply, straight-forward and even braindead to an extent. Personally, when I log into the game every now and then, I want to murder a few bosses and let my brain loose while senselessly slaughtering random hordes for resources... Not to mention, the true "hardcore endgame" in Warframe is fashion-frame. 4. "The story doesn't matter" Whoever said this clearly has no emotions and tends to bruteforce their way through any game just for the sake of consuming it. Also, whoever wasn't caught complete off-guard by the SECOND DREAM quest is flatout lying. 5. "Warframe is a dead game" You wish hahahahahahahahahah

It makes me sad to hear that people still think of Warframe as something they *have* to be "good" at to enjoy. Sure, some areas of the game require some skill, but most of it you can just stumble through and have fun with from my experience. Personally, I think that misconception comes from games like D2 and other largely competitive games, and it sucks that WF is still getting compared to them 😕

Nice video but I’m kinda interested where you’ve heard some of this misconceptions cause I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say Warframe is dead, that the story doesn’t matter or that you have to master all frames to be good Also I think you saying Warframe can be hardcode kinda paints a false narrative for the game cause there’s nothing hardcore about it 😂 the biggest/most common complaint late game player have about the game is that the game is to easy haha.

Its actually pretty common!! People seem to not realize how massive Warframe is. Also, I didn't say Warframe was for Hardcore players, that was the misconception XD. Dw, I'm in endgame and feel the same way. The idea of that segment was people feeling like they had to spend thousands of hours and not have a life to play the game. When really, It can be super duper casual.

I get those types of misconceptions a lot during stream and over on my discord server, Don't worry, I'll make a part two at some point with bigger misconceptions. These were handpicked from my server and the Twitch chat and were mostly from veteran players who have gone to teach newer players how to play :p. There was lots more of misconceptions, but these were mentioned the most.

You'd be surprised how many people - especially older players - brag about these things. I'm not bashing Warframe community because there are very kind, supportive and overall great people out there. I've meet a lot of players in game who gave me mods, helped with content and explained a lot of mechanics at the cost of thier own time. But a lot of players active on forums (you know. Where you can communicate things with devs) sound either condensending or are straight up rude. Case isn't any better when "elitists" under the KZbinr banners start arguing about builds. Propose a small change to something to help newer players? There are 3 very specific ways/mods to do it. Like... Yeah, we know it. Veterans knows it, but a lot of people don't. Warframe is a massive game with a lot of things to explore. And while game tries to explain a lot of them - there's way to much now. Multiplicative/additive damage for example. Huge W for DE for trying to streamline these tho.

@@Bloxomaticyea Warframe is actually very chill compared to other games in the same style. By that I mean it has an easy grind. While there is a lot to grind the individual grinds themselves are actually pretty easy. Compare it to the first descendent for recent example.

@@Bloxomaticinteresting. I’m very active in the community in my own discord servers on the reddit and also as a Warframe creator myself and I’ve honestly never heard them before. Not trying to say ur lying or anything I actually just think it’s interesting that there can be different opinions like this about the game in different cycles. The game being pay to win or the grind being to hard or long I’ve definitely heard many times before though.

I wanna adress the story comment. Yes, I'm 100% taking the click, cry about it. Nine year vet here, god, I hate my life. Warframe does have alot of story, and it's all really strange, and some of is genuinely really interesting, but not enough for it to matter to most people. First of all, it's told in a very confusing and often times annoying way. Some of the most important story bits are locked behind collectables and grinds (and I'm not talking about the main quests). For instance, you need to max out both Entrati and Necraloid syndicates to even know who Albrecht and what his true significance to the story is. And the Wispers in the Walls won't tell you that. It expects you to not only have done those grinds, but to also know to check some glyphs on some walls. And that's just one example of the story's inaccessibility. So this, on top of how vague the quests are, leaves most players completely confused and unnable to make sense of what they played without having to watch hours of youtube videos explaining the game's story. And to the main point, I don't think it's particularly good either. Over the years, I've seen people talk about how it's one of the best narratives out of any game or something. And I've even said that myself when I was younger, but having gained critical thinking skills, as well as the main quest writing deteriorating in quality, I don't really believe that anymore. Ballas is the closest thing this game ever had to an effective antagonist, and now he's dead. Which is good, I'd rather they finish him off at his high point, because my god has the story taken a nose dive. I suppose DE has decided that from now on all major warframe quests need to involve relationship drama, cause that's all Wispers is about. You'd think it'd be about the man in the wall, but nope, it's about Albrecht's twink boyfriend overcoming his resentment for him. Like, why? And I am genuinely confused as to why people think Jade Shadows is good. Don't get me wrong, it was an incredibly entertaining quest, but not for the right reasons. When people tell me they cried at a warframe quest that has a birth minigame in it I genuinely struggle to hold back my laughter. That might make me sound like an emotionless husk, but I'm not. I can connect to fictional characters and feel real emotions for them, but warframe barely has characters. Actually, I'm wrong, it has alot of characters. An ocean of them. Too bad it's puddle deep. Most of warframe's character's are just achetypes that aren't given anything to do for years at a time. My favorite character has appeared once after their introduction in 2016, so that point is personal. I could say more, and believe me I do have more to say, but this comment is already way too long. I wanted to express this because I am genuinely passionate about writing and it grinds my gears alittle bit how much people glaize this game's writing for no real reason. I, of course, do realize how silly it is of me to care this much about this game's story, but I suppose that just means it matters to me. Don't take this as me telling you what you can and cannot enjoy, I just want people to look at this game's writing a little more realistically. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. Feel free to 🤓emote me. *TL;DR: warframe's story matters if you like bad writing. I do, so it matters to me.*
