My only gripe with FE is that the tracks are all narrow street circuits (minus maybe Mexico). We need wide, swooping speedways on the calendar too!

I believe they would have not enough energy for a sufficient number of laps on traditional circuits to make it worth watching, especially since the cars are a lot slower then F1

yeah for now im only checking how things are moving forward, because they will eventually replace the F1, so yeah for at least 5 to 10 years F1 will still be king, FE will be more fun to watch once battery technology moves on, as just watching how they do the "pit stop" its just silly.

It is funny to hear cars crash and start as well. It like you only hear the crowd and the part shredding. apart from this, it display magnificient battle that f1 lack on sunny days

The crazy stuff is ridiculous. Crashing on purpose, drivers seemingly unaware of their cars' dimensions, just bad driving- it has a long way to go to become something more than something to put on in the background when you want to see shredded carbon fiber.

it's at the same time very hard battle but that also include over the edge one. In f&, they simply can't afford to go over the edge while here, they basically got a spare car if they fucked up or smthing. Another serie with great battle is lmp1 and wec in general. consider watching the usa round that was not so long ago, it was like battle, battle, battle, overtake, defensive moves in every category. Llast but not least, rallycross. It offers less overtake, but driver are doing a really great effort, banging doors, sliding, jumping and trying to overtake. And when they do suceed overtaking, it is beautiful to watch.

What about the final race in season 1, the overtakes for the championship from piquet jr., the championship costing spin from buemi, buemi trying to get past senna on the last lap and Sam bird winning the race at home in London. I think that is definitely one of the top five maybe even the best moment of formula e

Yep. It's exciting because you never know what's going to happen next and it's always awesome to watch the shenanigans unfold... From Buemi's post race meltdown, to a rookie driver loosing the back end and throwing away a win when he controlled most of the second half... Oh... And of course let's not forget Di Grassi's lap 1 (near enough) car swap after getting his rear wing smashed up.

It's definitely on purpose. Horrible incident, could have been a lot worse for Heidfeld. Nicolas Prost has no business in motor racing, but I guess family ties go a long way. There is no reason for him to be in this series with such appalling driving "skills".

My guesses before the video: - Mexico season 3, the crash that involved Prost and the Mahindras. - Paris season 3, Abt's car stopping on the final lap after the Safety Car, everyone behind takes a long time to overtake. - Buenos Aires season 1, the mix-up with the Safety Car around the pit-stops, and drivers being in the incorrect order. - Beijing season 1, crash between Heidfeld and Prost - London season 2, Lap 1 crash between Buemi and Di Grassi, making it a fight for Fastest Lap to claim the championship.

Everytime I see the final lap of 2014 Beijing race, I always think about 1979 Daytona 500. First ever Formula E race, first ever NASCAR race aired on live TV, and *last lap drama by crash* except the fight after the race. EDIT: I forgot to mention that both races were season opner of both series.

Until FE gets some higher calibre drivers, I won't be too interested. I'd also like to see a proper calendar, with at LEAST 16 races. I like that there isn't much of a performance difference between the teams. You never see crap like 4 seconds between front and back of the grid. I hope that next season we have a consistent calendar with two week break, because I always forget when the next race is, so long are the gaps in between. And some of these guys REALLY need to learn racecraft. No wonder they aren't in F1 anymore. They can start by bringing Massa in, getting rid of "fan boost" (absurd that an online popularity contest could theoretically decide the championship!) then it immediately becomes more credible.
