You're truly an amazing and remarkable person. A few weeks ago, my boyfriend ended things. He said he needed space, and while it broke my heart, I couldn’t blame him. There were no big arguments just… over. I’m struggling to accept that it’s really the end and that I might never hear from him again. I miss him so much.

Oh, sweetheart, my heart goes out to you. I’ve been in your shoes, and I know how deeply painful this can be. But I want you to remember there is hope, and healing is possible. Would you be open to speaking with a spiritual counselor, Father Abulu? He helped me so much, and I truly believe he could make a difference for you too.
@ValerieRittenhouse-i6j7 күн бұрын
A spiritual counselor? That’s something I’ve never considered. But if it worked for you, I’m willing to give it a try. Can you tell me more about what to expect and how it helped you?
@KristinaLaurent-s5d7 күн бұрын
I completely understand. I was skeptical at first too, but working with him truly transformed my perspective. His name is Father Abulu, and his approach is incredibly gentle and compassionate. I genuinely recommend him with all my heart.

My take-out from 2024 was that ‘blood relationship is not a prerequisite for kindness and generosity is not an antidote for wickedness’. This episode has deepened my understanding having experienced at least three of the typologies described and eagerly anticipating the other two with strategic response. ‘Epiphany’ as baba ibeji fondly says is when Dr Toye mentioned Kindness and emotional intelligence as a tool for manipulation! And essentially understanding the difference between discernment and suspicion is the bedrock of dealing with these dynamics in our relationships. This is an absolutely brilliant episode for the books and a hallmark of the TejubabyFace we love🙌🏾

At the end when Prof. Was thanking the host, the host was like: I did? Moma da gan😂 so funny. This was an insightful video, thank you so much TBF and Prof. Toye. I learnt a lot. I’m going to watch it again and again. I went through some friendship betrayals in 2023 and in retrospect I can tell I was severely manipulated. I cut them off, I am not bitter anymore, as I laid it all at the feet of Jesus and allow Him to heal me. I’m a better person now. I’m glad I went through it though. But I pray I don’t meet friends who will later turn to foes again in Jesus name.

I think we share similar reading background as you stated in 12 minute.... In my case I read books bought by my dad and even read encyclopeadia Americana. The first novel I ever really read was the undesirable element by Mohammed Sule. It was a book owned by my elder sister. When i write essays in secondary school people marvel. What I wrote came from what i read and daily experiences...
