@Casino Şimşek I think the key thing here is working with a professional. Yes people have devoted their lives to making profits in the market, but those of us who haven't but are interested in investing can simply work with them.

I rately/never comment on KZbin videos but I must say that as someone who have only been back into the hobby for a year, I really look forward to this in depth series on investing in Pokémon while also enjoying the hobby. There is a million videos on KZbin on “investing” in Pokémon which is basically just speculation in flipping cards. So I’m really curious what this will bring. Thanks for going in depth with the market and long term strategies. Subscribed!

3 dollar WOTC 9’s, 7 figure collection, would like to see a video going over these with evidence. Really feel it will cement confidence in what you are saying 😃 can imagine you getting some push back to these statements (just an idea) All the best

I have probably shown close to or over a million dollars of cards on the channel over the past few years. The truth is I don't really like showing or saying what I have because I collect for myself. But talking about my success is the best way to try and cut through the noise of all the other channels on KZbin to demonstrate that I actually know what I am talking about to people who don't know me in the hobby. At the end of the day the info and the market fundamentals that I share are what is important not the size of my collection and that should go for every content creator.
@geg_8914 Жыл бұрын
If you watch his videos you will be aware of what he collects and have seen a good amount of cards to back up what was said. Love the videos keep it up, i know you arent a fan of showing but I appreciate it when you do show cards you have as I have similar collecting taste just not a similar budget aha, so I just drool on the window :)

Always appreciate your videos mate , I was never really able to part with even the cards I didn’t care about , but once I broke the shackles I found the hobby to be more enjoyable as I could both stay active and set loftier goals and also make some space and focus more on quality over quantity , keep up the good work

Exactly, and when you realize you can get most things back it is much easier to sell things.
@australianblastoise5262 жыл бұрын
Definently , and there’s also the added bonus of keeping the mrs happy by recycling money already spent in the hobby oppose to injecting more cash haha , but in all honesty , a card that may have zero appeal to me may be someone else’s chase or grail , it’s nice when it reaches there hands and they can appreciate it more than I did , it’s a good feeling to see them happy

When you say your buying CGC 8.5 wotc holos for $3. Do you mean you buy raw cards @$3 that grade to 8.5 or are you buying already slabbed CGC 8.5s for $3 in auction?
@pokenomics2 жыл бұрын
I mean on occasion I get one already graded for that price in an auction that slips through.
@JohnDoe_882 жыл бұрын

Hey Jake! Question- what do you think about the long term fundamentals of let’s say a mint copy of the ex dragon charizard and fire red leaf green ex charizard? I know it’s all about the price point but would you consider these good buys for LT time horizon?
@pokenomics2 жыл бұрын
If I had to guess barring a huge uptick in the overall market, I don't think there is a huge rush to buy these types of cards because I think there are enough copies at the moment to continue to go around at or near current prices. However, If I didn't own these already, I would be looking to pick them up in auction as I do think they are in the top 1 percent of cards in the hobby and personally I like having them in my collection.
@michaelg4992 жыл бұрын
My thinking was that both have total PSA pops of under 1k or right around there. A lot less than other charizards but perhaps you are right that the demand for them is not quite there compared to others. But you are saying that you do think that they will hold their value over time and steadily go up if the hobby does? My last question is about your thoughts on Japanese Neo shining gyarados. Extremely low pop compared to english version and it has the beautiful and coveted holo bleed pattern unique to only the Japanese version. I do think that’s it verified that they were much harder to pull than English version. Seems like the right recipe of low supply, high demand.
@thekingman59712 жыл бұрын
@@michaelg499 hey there ! Just randomly reading comments , I used to own a jap shining Gyarados. Did a good amount of research as well. Def a tough sell, but once it got to the right persons sites , it was over . I could tell the guy would do a lot for the card . After the trade I did more research. And yes I would say the jap shinings areALOT more rare . But even with that it’s still pretty niche

Have u looked into vintage funko pops yet? Many have limited pieces and iconic pop culture stuff. Psa also recently started to grade funko pops for condition as was seen at some booths at sdcc (prior they only graded autos on pops now they grade pops themselves) i think now is a great entry for many of the older funko pops

It's funny you mention the possibility of people losing interest in the hobby. When people buy and hoard products to turn a profit, that indeed turns people off of the hobby. Your worst enemy is in the mirror.
