Good job! Can you torch fire when you mix the different metals? Or does something like the mixed metal piece must go in a kiln? More how to videos please! Thank you

Can you tourch fire white bronze?
@clayrevolution57382 жыл бұрын
No, the white bronze is a bit too small of a firing range to torch fire easily. However, Clay Revolution does provide firing services if you don’t have a kiln. Just check out the home page on the website for details. Www.clayrevolution.com

Do these metals tarnish over time, or retain the shiny finish?
@clayrevolution57385 жыл бұрын
Hello! I'm so sorry I didn't see this comment earlier. Yes, all metals containing copper will tarnish over time. They will retain the shine, but it will darken. I do find that the higher the polish, the slower the tarnish happens.

Can these clays be turned into flex clays with glycerin for use on the cutting machines like the Curio? To cut and etch in the bisque stage?
@clayrevolution57386 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, you can add a drop of glycerin to about 20 grams of clay to create flex clay. You do not need to do that in order to use them with the cutting machines though. You can use this clay straight on the cutting machines :)

does the white bronze contain nickle?
@clayrevolution57387 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry I didn’t answer this faster! None of the Five Star Metal Clays contain nickel, zinc, lead or any other toxic metals!

Why is there no aluminum clay in existence?
@clayrevolution57382 жыл бұрын
that is a great question! I have not tried to make it myself, but I imagine it has to do with the type of oxide that builds on aluminum (that white stuff you see sometimes). I will play around sometime and let you know if I learn anymore. :)
