Lol I live in Atlanta. I’ve been to several games. They’re me 2nd favorite team. I say all that to say, John Collins is not overrated. You guys pretty much nailed it, nobody really talks about him. Plus, in the Hawks system, John only gets about 12 shots a game. I feel like is he was a true 2nd option, his numbers would be a lot better. He’s pretty much a role player a lot of nights. But he’s a solid shooter, willing defender and is a solid play maker. He’s honestly underrated.

The Lamelo Ball take is ridiculous. Lamelo is a minus on defence, but most all stars, especially point guards, don’t even play defence. However, he does get steals and is very good at deflecting passes in the passing lane. Moreover, his team literally has IT Terry Rozier Plumlee Pj Washington etc, so ofc they’ll be one of the worst defensive teams, since the team is full of terrible defenders, with some of the players being even worse defenders than lamelo. Additionally, the stupid schemes James Borrego deploys, in which he basically lets teams shoot open 3s all game with his zone defence that doesn’t work, and he has put IT and rozier on the floor at the same time together, ofc the team will have a terrible defence when all they do is set out to outscore the other team, without having any regard for defence. If anything Lamelo is being handicapped by the coaching and the hornets organisation. The hornets are terrible at developing young players- Bouknight barely plays, and Borrego was starting Devonte Graham ahead of Lamelo, which is just stupid. Lamelo Ball hasn’t actually been given the keys, because the hornets somehow think that an injury prone Gordon Hayward is their best player. Once he’s given the keys and a solid big man that can actually rebound and defend, then he’ll defo be a 24 8 and 8 guy. He’s averaging 20 points per game with 7.6 assists, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.6 steals on 43 38 87 shooting splits as a 20 year old, in his second season in the nba, with a terrible coach who has horrendous rotations, pulls him out as soon as he gets hot, benches him for several minutes, barely runs any plays for him, barely runs any pick and rolls with lamelo and trezz (even though it’s been extremely effective whenever they actually do it) and worst of all he allows mason plumlee to be a point center. He has no big men, and he doesn’t even have the keys to the team yet. Even with all this he’s still producing and is definitely much more than just a good nba player and is top 10pg in the league. The shooting splits (43 38 87) show that inefficiency argument is actually incorrect (not the best efficiency, but the criticism is overblown). Lamelo isn’t overrated in the slightest, and deserved to be an all star.

100% agree that Wiggins is overrated. He's good, maybe even great when he needs to be, but Warriors fans get a bit crazy. That said, he's not a "bust" just because he didn't live up to the "Maple Jordan" moniker-that's on the people that gave someone that was always going to be a better suited as a no.2 frankly ridiculous expectations.
