I'm glad you mentioned Michelle Yi. She was one of the few bright spots for Fiji, and the season suffered from not having her. We complain Chris Underwood was gifted an idol, but Lil & Burton were immune just because. What?! Sydney wasn't ONE of the players with immunity taken away. She was the one who actually WON immunity for her group! They still should've honored her win and take it away from the others if they were that bent on this twist in my opinion.

The merge boot or in modern Survivor the mergatory might be the most awful position to be in. That there is an argument to like half of these boots to be in this list. It's a scramble of changing alliances and production loving to pull something out. Making it one of the most important rounds in the game and unpredictable.

At least with the merge there's everyone but one immune. In modern Survivor the options are a lot smaller.

J Maya definitely was unlucky but I did a poll recently and an assumed consensus was yeah the shot in the dark hurt her but she was very unlikely to reach the end with not many people respecting her. This list is unfortunate twists plus people having actual winner equity.

I think she was pretty solidly in the end games of that contingent, maybe underedited because of her being idoled out which is ironic because we don't see how important she was to be idoled out in the first place, same with so many idol targets which is a shame and not good editing imo

Kelly wasn’t screwed over Getting idled out of the game isn’t getting screwed over since it’s a very common game mechanic at that point ESPECIALLY as you pointed out they could’ve split the vote, it’s literally just a bad move that got her taken out not being screwed over
