A black hole is unlikely to get anywhere near our solar system. If one does, what would probably happen is Earth just gets flung out of the sun's orbit and our planet freezes to death without a star to heat the surface. Either way, we all die and can't do anything about it at our current tech, so imo there's hardly a reason to worry about it.

I love when scientists try to assure us nothing space related is going to hit us but in reality we don't know enough about space to predict and prevent it all. And besides that, even on our own earth, there could be threats lurking deep in the ocean that we don't even know about that could hit us
@florence.066 Жыл бұрын
agree
@privategoobie7plays130 Жыл бұрын
We know 20 times more about space then our own oceans, the reason scientists don’t worry about asteroids is because there not of any concern, we can view everything in our solar system which means if there was anything coming at us with enough velocity and mass to be concerned about, we would know way before it ever made contact with us, space is vastly spread out, and because nothing is faster then the speed of light, we would see what’s coming at us well before it reaches us, keep if something was coming towards is it would have to be behind us because anything past earth wouldn’t hit us due to the suns gravity, and the distance between mars and earth is 4 months and anything farther then mars is even longer so the minimum about of time to react to something hitting us would be 4 months which is plenty of time when talking about an asteroid, but non of that matters because we can see everything in our solar system, so something would have to travel from another solar system to ours just to hit us, but that can’t happen because no asteroid would have enough velocity to break free of its solar systems gravitational field, but even if even if it somehow did, that would take around several years to reach us because that’s how astronomically huge space is, the border from our solar system relative to earth is 100000 AU, which is an incredible amount of kilometers away, so it wouldn’t impact us until far far far in the future meaning we would have plenty of time to react, so basically asteroids are no worry to us because we know so much about space that we know there not a worry at all, in fact Asteroids hit us all the time but because of the density and strength of our atmosphere they break up upon re-entry, so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about
@CottonCandySweetTart Жыл бұрын
