Thanks for sharing. Great swing. Recently, I watched few of your videos with Zach. It appears that his suggested swing path is missing in your swing. When you swing in-out, the swing path is to right (extend) and finish with club on your side like an oval shape across your body to create a push-draw. Here most of your swings are around your body.

There is something about how you do your in-out swings at the beginning that reset my brain. After watching that beginning part, I swing easier, hit more solid and consistent and hit it further. Thanks man

Those are great calibration drills. I've used hitting off the toe to fix the shanks but never like that. Great idea! Thanks

@@ErndogGolfHey Ernie, I tried out heal/toe calibration at the range today. Really cool. Interesting how it improves focus on impact. Was puring it today but will keep it part of the routine. 😎👍

Which lesson was it that Zach talked about the fade vs draw finish position? Also I'm so jealous that you have access to this practice bay 😂

Hi Ernie, I just watched every single lesson and video from your journey especially with your coach Zach. It’s amazing to see your progress and how Zach is teaching certain things. I also have lessons every two weeks but I have to say that I will implement a few things together with my coach which I saw in your lesson because I’m struggle with an out to in path my whole golf life especially with longer clubs and driver. I want ask you one thing, did you ever work with Zach on your grip and or take away? I just noticed today when I try to come from the inside with my driver that my face is miles open… I analyzed it with my coach and I saw that I pretty much every time roll my right forearm to have a open club face in the take away / back swing! Just curious if you had a lesson regarding those points. Please continue your journey 😊 Cheers Markus

Hey Markus! Thanks for the support, man! We actually never talked about either. I’m not sure if it’s because they haven’t been of concern, or if Zach doesn’t care much about my takeaway as long as my top position is good.

Adding speed is a move backwards to move forward approach. Its like body builders bulking to then cut. You have to add the speed before you can refine and control it.

Could you ask zach for some tips for me. Question. Need some help with my closed face. On trackman 9 irons. My average numbers are 85 SS, 3-5down AoA, path around 2 in to out , launch 23-25, dynamic loft around 30-35. 140 carry , spin in the 8000s, Everything seems okay but face is constantly closed -3 to -7.
@ErndogGolf10 ай бұрын
Reach out to him on Instagram or email. His contact is in the description! All your numbers look really good, just work on face control a bit. Experiment with leave the club face 6 degrees open. He has me warm up by pushing a shot (in to out path, face angle matching face), then I hit one straight, and then I overdraw one. I go into more detail on Week 56

You’re doing great, you have a great coach and he really knows his stuff but I need to be honest with you by saying….if you wanna be a scratch golfer go work on your short game. Your swing is not the problem….just being 💯 man….im not saying don’t work on your swing but short game is about 70% of it. You’re working on the 30%. If you had a scratch short game your long shots wouldn’t even matter.

It is very smart practicing. This is textbook Adam Young Golf calibration and feel exercise. When you can purposely change your swing to hit a bad shot, you can more easily correct the swing variables to a good shot. Really develops feel and clubhead awareness. And is it a bad shot when the ball does what you want it to, even if it is to draw or fade a lot? Sometimes that’s the right shot around a tree, for example.
