What are the top pvp battle tips you would give to a beginner player?

My tip would be: never skip a base in order to capture a property. Always capture bases first, even if it takes like 5 turns or more.

@@circumventboredom9463 I normally disagree with that, but generally speaking, I'd say that Grit, Sturm, Nell, Flak, Jugger, Hachi, Colin, Kanbei, Sensei, (and Javier on maps with 2 comm towers or more), is good for newer players. Nell, Jugger and Flak are all luck based, so I'd recommend going away from them, and going for a more reliable pick, while the rest of the COs I listed are just broken, and break the game.

Man it's so refreshing seeing AW2 instead of AWBW. Nothing wrong with awbw but the ui is so nice in the originals and I've seen so much of awbw lately.

Completely agree there. AWBW is great, but the originals have a special charm.

don't forget to ignore all enemy units if there is an apc on the field. You'll want to make sure that apc dies no matter what, even if it costs you the match. Infantry on your HQ? Doesn't matter, that APC must die.

I think that "HQ capping" is the only thing that the AI stops over destroying an APC.

My theory on why the AI hates APCs so much is thay the devs wanted the logistics/supply mechanic to play a larger role in the game than it actually does. In theory, it makes sense; you're keeping your enemy from ferrying troops, fuel and ammo to the frontlines, crippling their troops by cutting them off from their fuel and ammo. But in practice, killing APCs barely does anything since all units are so expendable and have so much fuel and ammo they always die before running out.

when playing against the AI, if there are ports, always remember that the AI will always make landers, you can drain the AI funds by destroying the landers repeatedly.

Here is the best advice you are going to get. Every map dictates what your army composition should be. You shouldn't play every map with the same army composition. Low income maps rely heavily on infantry. Where heavy income maps allow for a lower infantry focused army. Outside of income the terrain is a simple indicator of what unit types can be more effective. A more practical way to play is to build as much units as possible every turn. This allows you to make mistakes and recover from them. Focusing on more expensive troops will require more precise play and cause you to blunder the game away.

Such a highly info packed video. This will definitely help me. I struggle most at early game with deciding how to capture. When ever I meet my opponent they always seem to have more properties than me is there anyway I could improve this?

Glad to hear it'll help! The early game is tricky, but sets the tone for the match. If you're not already doing it, step 4 can help with that by delaying your opponent's captures and buying you extra time for yours.
