Dads are so underappreciated but, as a daughter, newly married wife and first time mom, know that, even if we don't always think to show it, we love you dads. Each and every day. Best job in the world is being a dad. There are so many areas in my life I have really failed at but each night when I go to bed after making sure the house is secure, all the lights are turned off, all the Ipads are charging, the stuff my wife would text me about that ruined her AM are done and making sure my twin 9 year olds AND twin 10 year olds are in bed, I can rest my head know why and who I do it all for. Although the Camaro has been sold, the golf clubs have gone untouched in YEARS, gave up my man cave to one of the kids, there's now a F-kn pool in my yard... All those things that I bitch about in my quiet space as I drive my minivan to work, if they weren't there when I got home, life would be pointless. Because without all those things, it wouldn't be a home.

That's the real test right there! That not only makes you a dad, but also makes you a true man! Also, EeEewwWwwww (enunciated with a full Southern Drawl there). I'm not skewering a worm onto the hook ( even though I used to play with earthworms as a kid with my sisters, especially after it would rain, we'd put them in a good kitchen aluminum bowl for some reason. . . . yeah, we don't talk about what came after we accidentally forgot them in the bowl in full Texas sun later on that day. . . . Ooopsss. . . . Who wants dried worm noodles!? ) A+ for men hooking the worms for us later on in life, because I'm certainly not doing it! As women, we'll touch snot, sick, piss, and poop, without batting an eyelash, but I'm not going to hook on my own worm! That's like knitting with live yarn! I know my Mum's dad, if he had lived long enough to take us fishing, would have called us all sissies for not wanting to touch a worm, but I wish we had still gotten the chance to be called sissies by him. :(

Solutions popping in my mind 1)fishing, set up a movie on Disney plus on tablet while you fish 2)when installing something for your comfort, sell it as an overall household savings, that immediately gives it priority 3)time your intimate request, you only get one shot to make it last 4)always lock doors

Years ago when I wasn’t much more than a kid myself I read in a magazine that when you take a little kid fishing you shouldn’t even bring a pole. You’ll just get frustrated when you’re trying to fish and constantly having to help them and they won’t have fun. Last year when I took my daughter fishing for the first time I only brought her little pole. It was great.
