I don’t think Dustin makes videos to take care of his family. It’s to feed his addiction. Most of the influencers are showing their followers a very unhealthy way to participate in the hobby.

Just getting back to see a few videos this evening. This one is one. Thoughts and Opinion: First: a Master-Level Sports Card Collector has Decades of applied experience. Just imagine how much more You yourself will know about The Hobby, when you reach your mid-late 70's. The Benefits of Having a Master-Level Collector is Priceless. 'If He Were Still Alive, I'm sure he'd be sitting here, ' Telling Me Just How Dumb and Arrogant Some Collectors Are and Can Be. '- Fact. Second: Not really sure if you know what I look like. The pic is to honor a lady, who passed away in 2007, and had faith in Me and the things that I do. Third: ' Respectfully, I'd be more than happy to compare myself to a person who looks like you. However, I've been a Lawyer for 30 Years, and last year, when this arrogant Pencil-Neck Neurologist thought it fit to challenge Me about what I'm professionally trained in while doing a week in the Hospital. Hmmm.. Does Anybody in here even 'Remotely Resemble a Pencil-Necked Neurologist...? Hmmm.. Anyway... There, my Friend ' - I took him to task, and embarassed The Ever Loving Shit Out Of Him,- Right in front of hs Entire Department Team Staff. I used to argue cases before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and The Supreme Court every now and then.. Moreover: I'm not exactly handsome, but I wouldn't consider myself to be some old man, saying: 'Hey You Kids.. Get Off My Lawn Either. ' 'That Was Funny. We (older collectors) Say The Same Thing All the Time Now..' Finally: From Experience: You,Sir: - {are making a myriad of mistakes in The Hobby}. Primarily: Your Strategies of 'Buying Multiples can work, yes, but [Unless You Know With Certainty, [Which Players] to Purchase and [When to Purchase, and [Why to Purchase], You're Simply ['Buying on the Come,'] - and That my Friend, is a Big Mistake.' - HUGE. 'Anybody With Any Real Experience In The Hobby, Has Scads of sealed 50 and 100 card plastic little cases like that. ' Hell, - "Most of Mine come in 2-Ply. '(humor). For that very reason alone, is why some Sports Card Personalities find themselves having to create content channels in order to try and carve out a living via View Counts and Ad Clicks. Put Simply: Those Who Can't, buy CaCa 89' Donruss Baseball Monster Boxes, and Create Content Channels to try to make a living, ..and those who actually know The Hobby, are the ones who just sit back and watch the very methods in practice, that Make ' a Master Collector a Master Collector.' As Paul on Vintage Sport Shack Says: ' DON'T BE STUPID! ' -Thank You. Now I'll Go Back to Bed. I'm 58 and Old. (Wink).

So in todays sports card market we can’t find and 10 cent RC lots. However would it be possible to buy RC’s of players that are good prospects to achieve greatness at some point for $4-$5 each and be able to latter on turn a profit selling them for $20-$30 each without having them graded. That’s the question that needs answered in relation to your back in day pursuits.

Master collectors are Yoda Jedi master collectors duh! And Dustin makes videos EVERYDAY because he loves the hobby he not tell or twisting anyone’s arm to buy anything. And I hate to tell you how to do your job but you don’t have to buy 20 cards for 5 cents and sell them for a dollar.. just buy 4 rookie cards of the same player for $5 a card group them in a lot for $40 bucks and poof. Not 80s junk new kids like volpe or adley maybe Elly stop living in the past we all lost money on the junk and no one wants it. 50s or band new kids is where the money is

My biggest mistake dollar wise was buying prospects and young players when I got back into the hobby - with a couple lucky exceptions I lost money on pretty much every one of them. I learned my lesson on that though and now I don't buy modern cards for more than a couple bucks unless its a card of a lock HOF'er.

Biggest mistake was buying Trey Lance around draft day. Lost about $1k…pleased make your videos more concise and briefer. >1hr for 5-10mins of content…too much fluff and repeats

Gregg Jeffries was a known Baseball America top prospect in 1987 and his cards were not a nickel by bulk anywhere and were about $2-3 per card because the 1987 hobby surge happened, where you couldn’t have gotten even mediocre rookies for $0.05 per card. Even guys like Mickey Brantley, Mike Aldrete, Pete Incaviglia, Ruben Sierra, Matt Nokes, Kevin Seitzer, Mike Greenwell, and others who were spec buyers, were $0.35+ This video feels counterintuitive to the reality of FMV (Fair Market Value) real scenarios. Today’s environment for rookie prospects are priced based on potential of the future, so there’s no bargains below $1 and you’re getting the base cards of less popular brands where the parallels of today divide the collectors and investors relegating rookie cards as commons. The vocal enunciation of this presentation is jagged, if you’re looking for feedback and needs a more friendly flow rather than one that might come off too pseudo authoritative and somewhat lecturing or condescending to viewers.

Love ya -but totally not true!! Jefferies were $1 each minimum coming out of the packs. Same with Mark Grace!! 35 years have gone by so maybe you can't remember correctly - those 2 were high demand coming out of the packs

No way were Jefferies 5-10 cents back at that time. They were anywhere from $2-4 as soon as the products were released from Score, Fleer and Donruss. There was major hype surrounding him(especially because he played for a New York team)

I call bs in all his purchase prices. No one was selling star players like he mentioned for a penny or those two rookies for a nickel or a dime. How much was Griffey? .25😂

@@Milehighviking UD Griffey started at $7-8 when first released. If he's claiming 5-10 cents for Jefferies, then 25 cents seems about right when it comes to Griffey.😂
