Id buy one card of my favorite player for maybe like $1K or $2k and pocket the rest. No way I am spending $50K on sports cards. It's such a large opportunity cost waste to do that. Plenty of other things to spend the money on or invest it in.

I have 50K, and it's not being used to buy baseball cards. My 3 pickups for the month were a few 70's Topps Dave Winfields (ungraded)

I would buy the following.. Every noteworthy hall of fame baseball, basketball, and football player from the 70s-80s era.. I would buy a sgc 5-6 copy of each of their rookie cards. Once I had all my childhood heros covered.. The rest wouldn't matter.
