I've had my TK35UE 2.0 for over 5 years now and I love it. so much I upgraded to the LR35R. That's an upgrade in lumens candela and battery power.
@bryanmchugh13072 жыл бұрын
I have all the TK35's except this one. I am pretty impressed by the beam profile here. Not to floody with a very good hot spot. Seeing that many lumens throw like that is pretty cool. I like the pocket clip as well. Looks like Fenix is about to get even more of my money.

I just got one on Amazon as a kit including the 2 18650 batteries, cost $183 after taxes. I also have 6 18650 batteries laying around various capabilities. Leaving them in the 4 way external charger is faster then waiting on a USB.

I am owning the Fenix TK35UE 2018 model.....but this video made it harder for me to decide whether this V2 is a needed upgrade (since I never use the highest mode even on the TK35UE 2018 but the setting below the Turbo mode). Also this 2018 version did cost me 140 euro's which was a bit expensive for a 3200lumen light (I only bought it or the bigger grip since I have fairly large hands and I already did own a lot of 18650 batteries so I could justify the amount of money they charged for the flashlight).
@Jamesz_hunt3 жыл бұрын
I got mine yesterday I was trying to justify the lr35r vs this one and the thing is while 10,000 lumens is cool theres one big problem on the lr35r is that it goes from high (3,000 lumens) to turbo (10,000) lumens and that there is no 5,000 lumen or 7,000 lumen option in between high and turbo. While this one the tk35 ue v2 has basically every level of lumens you need between eco and turbo. So you have more modularity in a sense.
@JoshTheElectric3 жыл бұрын
Having both I’d say the lr35r is still best at keeping the 3k output going when u need it. Where as this light won’t do 5k lumin for that long before dropping. Lr35r will punch more light way longer in other words.
@Jamesz_hunt3 жыл бұрын
@@JoshTheElectric different scenarios but I agree. However if the lr35r had a tail switch instead of that stupid button that would be solid

I'm a fan of the fenix beam pattern. I've found any kinda light you can pull/push the head for flood or spot, the beam just looks like crap. Not a fan of the no USB to charge through the light. Even though you said it was comfortable, I still don't know if I'm diggin the handle. Good review thanks for sharing.
@MemphisMojo15s3 жыл бұрын
I kinda feel the same about it's shape, but I have two of these lights and honestly they're way more comfortable in the hand than I figured they would be. I am seriously considering getting this one in the video after using my 3200 lumen light for night walking, especially the last 2 nights. I just can't get over the overall capabilities of the light. Even my old original 820 lumen TK35 is superb in how it throws the beam. The 3200 lumen throws and floods in a very useful way. If you like a lot of coverage and decent throw, this light is it.

I have the TK35 UE version from 2018 myself and I simply love the grip actually (but I have fairly big sized hands). I can imagine that smaller people (with smaller hands) don't love the square grip since it's quite big (and heavy). I really would like this TK35 UE v.2 but I simply can't justify the cost really (especially since I hardly use the highest setting on the 2018 TK35 UE actually...it's TOO bright already for me). But I like the way the 2 throws the light for sure. Decisions decisions......

Correction! The switches are designed like the TK35UE 2018 edition. The original TK35UE was first produced more than 10 years ago. There were several versions of it before they started numbering them by the year and now it looks like they're going to do it by the version number from now on.

Good review, I appreciate your work. One feedback, maybe could condense content / cut out unnecessary info. While it looks like a good product, I might have to pass on it due to its price. It's expensive as it is, then you have to add on battery costs. Plus for its price range it doesn't have integrated recharging so you will need to buy a battery charger separately as well. I might opt for the Interstate LIG6100 instead, but it's hard to find concise reviews for these products.

Thanks I was waiting for this , the first good review of this flashlight . I like everything about this flashlight , except that there is no usb c port. For me a dealbreaker, I need it for working/traveling. I don't want to bring a separate charger. I use nitecore SRT 9 a lot ( without usb c port also) a great flaslight for the money I paid 80 us$ with two 18650 batterys. Almost the same dimensions of the Fenix. And yes feels comfortable in the hand.

No batteries and lamp itself can not charge battery (some earlier Fenix lamps could!), so all in all there is significant additional cost which brings this package close to 200$. Too pricey for what you get.
