When speaking about the music, the Fifth D's music is phenomenal and timeless. What's also phenomenal and timeless is the beauty of both of the ladies. Everyone's always talking about how beautiful Mrs Mccoo is which I completely agree she is. She was really the main reason I watched Solid Gold every week as a kid. That being said, I personally find Florence just as beautiful. I liked how she sort of got the spotlight here. Such a gorgeous lady. She was an absolute knock out in my book !

I used to watch The Flip Wilson Show as a kid.He always had great guests on his program.This clip shows a side of the 5th Dimension viewers rarely experienced on network TV.As well as being a very talented group,they seem like they would be fun to hang with.

I was a little kid in the psychedelic 70's. I grew up watching the Flip Wilson Show, the Ed Sullivan Show, the Red. Skeleton Show, the Carol Burnett Show, Rowan and Martin's Laugh In Sock It To Me, and many others. How I sure miss that era.

The 5th dimension. Great segment here. When I was a kid, I always looked forward to the Flip Wilson Show. I always hoped for the Geraldine character. I used to like to mimic him and his voice when he was Geraldine. I did it pretty good too.

Believe it or not, about 25 years ago I was riding a shuttle bus between the Dorado Hilton and Dorado Beach Hotels, and I saw a familiar face. I asked, "Excuse me....are you Flip Wilson"? He say, "Yes". I said, "I loved your show....never missed it". He said, "Thanks". Nobody on the bus even blinked. He's looked great...and seamed a little surprised.

That story they told about their start is pretty much the truth . They were with Motown briefly and Motown had Billy Davis singing lead and the others in background . They sounded similar to the Four Tops with that particular song.

I found Flip Wilson to be obnoxious back in the day. He seems comic, but he truly was a spiteful person. The Fifth Dimension was far better than this. They were a CLASS act.
