I've always said when they were engineering Whitney Houston's career path they used Marilyn as an example of what they wanted, beautiful voice, look, and manner! Whitney never quite got the manner! Marilyn is and always will be a hard act to follow!!

Well, let me add my two cents. The competition is not between McCoo and other singers/women. The greatness contest is between Marilyn's beauty of voice versus her beauty of face and form; it's a question of which she pleases more: your eyes or ears.

I love Marilyn more but Whitney's voice is better. Marilyn is someone who could make people feel comfortable and loved. Whitney makes people feel excited and loved.

If you think Whitney's voice is better you should listen to more of Marilyn's songs! Very few, including Whitney can sing any type of music and do it better than Marilyn! Listen to her version of " I Dreamed a Dream". You will be blown away! No one out sings this Lady. And she's still doing it in 2018, decades after the world new of Marilyn Mccoo!
