My 18yr old listens to Teddy Pendergrass, Etta James, is obsessed with what we in the UK call Northern Soul (Gloria Jones, The suspicions, Edwin Starr etc) So far, so good but more parents need to stop trying to be down with the kids by listening to what the kids like. Instead they should play Friends of Distinction's Going in Circles & 5th dimension's Wedding bell blues full blast all around the house. Tough love, but eventually the kids will see the light and never listen to Lady GaGa again.

Then, they lip-synched to the recording when the show was broadcasting live in case of any glitches with the choreography and staging. So yes it is a "live" recording.
