It's actually a synthesised version of a piano piece by Scott Joplin called "Weeping WIllow"

It's not Cosgrove Hall, it's Siriol Animation, they also did SuperTed.

You wouldn't happen to know what studio animated the Zappomatic sequence would you? This looks similar in style to the 2D animation work that CosgroveHall were producing during the 1980s!

RSJ Visuals The studio that animated this was Siriol Animation, the same guys who animated SuperTed.

It was Welsh animation studio Siriol Animations that made this, their most famous creations being "SuperTed" and "Will Quack-Quack".

It's doubtful but it sounds like Melvyn Hayes. And it would not surprise me as he provided his voice to the "SuperTed" cartoon series, which studios clearly did the animation to this (Siriol).
