There's actually 4 modes, at least mine has 4. The no fun mode, 1 tap turns off the TC, 2 taps puts you in "Competitive mode" and hold down disables all traction control and stabilitrak.

Thank you for the advice gonna go change from “have you lost your mind” to “have fun mode” been wondering why every time I even try to turn the car a little bit the car wants to drift so bad, and then when I step on it the car automatically thinks I’m doing a burn out so wants to skrt off instead of just going forward 😂😂😂 I might just be a race car driver been on “have you lost your mind” for the last 3 months and I can say the car feels more lose N a lot more fun to handle💪🏾 just hate when the car wants to Drift on its own😤

Some got plenty of slide experience with the old school 5.0 fords, so coming over to the 5th gen and shutting off the two chicken switches allowed a more "familiar" experience. Those trying to learn on the 5th gen platform.."Loose"... is way harder than the 5.0 fox....good luck.

@@jamie.777 Not for me, but I wasn't concerned with drag racing. I was street racing. Drag racing wins were mostly based around who has got the biggest bucks, at least where I rolled. Street racing was more about skill, as slower cars could still beat faster cars..at least the way we raced. So knowing your car, and its traction limits, and pushing just past them, was vital. The best I rolled was an 86, had a nice center of mass, beat the shit out of her and nothing ever broke, never smashed her up, just normal maintenance. But I came up sliding the old school 70's bricks around, so big diff.

Considering my first car was an '88 Firebird V8 (which had neither of those settings), I wouldn't mind trying out "MFHYLYDM" mode. I did turn off traction control for a bit in my G6 and didn't notice much of a difference. I would say that even having both off isn't going to do anything noticeably to your car until you bring your car to the breaking point of stability(Aggressive braking or accelerating, especially while in a turn). Unless you are a maniac that can't just drive a car without flooring it and being alpha all the time, it really doesn't matter. If it's your first car, then I'd say better to keep it on.

Hey, There is also a competitive mode. Double tap the button and you will see launch control and competitive mode. That makes four. Maybe stick only, not really sure exactly what is turned off when in this mode.

When i ordered my '13 Dusk Edition Camaro,i wanted to know all i could about it.I asked my salesman about the TC button.The elderly gent only said"oh,leave that on all the time." So,i expereminted and figured it out.It should be "TS" (tire saver) mode.The damn Dusk has 21" wheels and Pirrelli has the market on them and very pricey.$600 a tire! TC is used on rare occasions.

Yeah, I'm with you on that brotha. I tried to drive a few times with everything off and even after improving my driving skills, I still cant handle it. When I'm on track, i like to drive BBA because it gives the car the ability to slide a little bit, but I'm not crazy enough to do it with everything off.
