Rebound guy here, 6 weeks after my breakup. Please do us all a favor and dont get into a new relationship until you're healed and completely over your previous relationship(s). Also, to the exes, if you see them with us "rebounds", dont reach out to them. Let them be. I was with this guy for three months until his ex reached out to him, which caused him to doubt what we had. He ran back to what he felt was "secure". We had no issues and never argued. It was honestly amazing. Also from my digging post break-up, I pieced together that they were broken up for roughly three months until he started dating me. HEAL YOURSELF BEFORE YOU END UP HURTING SOMEONE ELSE.

I got stuck at stage two for three months because I kept chasing her. The moment I let her go and walked away and was absolutely serious that I was never going to be with her again, she went through all the other stages within a week and was begging me to take her back. I had a lot of girls trying to be with me, but I wouldn’t do it because I wanted her back. The only way I was able to let her go was when I finally started dating other girls. Once I began dating my entire attitude and demeanor changed. She could tell it changed , she went through worry and then regret within days.

@@johnnyt8902 I did get back with her. We had been together over 10 years when we split for 3 months. This happened 7 years ago and we are still together. Now been together 17 years. When she left it was bad. It was over in her mind. Nothing I did helped and only made it worse. I was destroyed. The thing is I didn’t do anything wrong to begin with. I was good to her and loved her so much. Women can just be selfish. When she left for those 3 months it changed me. I finally got over her there at the end. At least enough to move on. That didn’t change when she came back. Since she came back I have not showered her with love and affection like I used to before. I actually don’t treat her very good at all now but I did before all that happened. She left me when I was totally and completely in love with her. Now that I don’t care anymore she is all over me. She insists we have sex every single day and at least a couple times per weeks she wants it twice per day. In the last 7 years there has been maybe 5-6 days total that we did not have sex. What’s crazy is you can’t fake not caring. You really have to not care. I also believe she saw all the women that were lining up to be with me. She realized she was approaching middle age and only heading downhill but I’m only getting better and girls in their early 20’s were lining up. Do the no contact best you can. I know it’s hard but it’s the only thing that will work. For me it didn’t take 30 days. After 3 months of chasing her it only took about a week and she was begging me for forgiveness. She actually called me when I was on the way to the beach with a friend. She wanted me to come back but I didn’t. She asked if we could get together and talk when I got back. I had moved on and she knew it.

I ended because he love bombed me and then breadcrumbed me. I think I deserve more. My ex texted me after exactly 30 days with limited contact. I followed your advice but now he is trying to start a disagreement with me and is bitter with me for breaking up with him by putting the blame on me. I just didn't answer his last text because I am not going to argue. I miss him but I deserve better. He is also with a rebound right after we broke up.

@@BradBrowning Thank you Brad. I used your method before in the previous relationship. The no contact worked but some people don't realize they have something good until they lose it. In my case I have trust issues with men and am not willing to put up with breadcrumbing. I ended with my best friend who I had been over looking for other emotionally unavailable men. He was there patiently waiting for me to notice him as more than just a friend. This man I do feel I can trust. I am much happier. I hope other people on here find love.

Hey Brad! About 4 days ago, we broke up. However I know she is a very honest person and is wanting to collect her life first, and I fully trust her that she isn't willing to see anyone else until she has space in her life to do so. We are still in contact, but obviously not talking as often, she says that she will need sometime to heal due to the pain I caused her. I also don't think the 30 day no contact would really apply as that isn't much time for both of us to become better people. However, I have lots of plan to better myself and as I'm typing this out, I'm already going the right way! When do you think it's appropriate to reach out to her again? And again, I know for a fact that she does NOT want a relationship for a while.
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 4 ай бұрын
Hi! The average time to go no contact is 4-6 weeks but if you don't think that's enough time based on your situation, then you can extend it a bit more. You can both be better people for each other if you two manage to work on it... or you can both be better people for other people. It just really depends as some people fit like a glove while others take a huge amount of compromise to get there. Since your situation may be unique, I think you can benefit by working with me one-on-one so I get to learn more about the situation and therefore be more equipped to help you out, at www.breakupbrad.com/coaching

Man i have been broken up with my ex for a month and a half, at first it was space and self growth, i gave her space we talked here and there, then we stopped talking. A week ago i called to see where we were at (it was a mistake) she says she wants to be alone and shes not sure if she will later regret that decision. After the conversation i told her basically im not going to figth if its meant to be it will be of not life goes on. Being in limbo stage sucks. Thank you sir for all your videos. After 22 years and 4 kids, I got the “I love you but not in love with you” speech. Kids stayed with me. 10 days later she moved out. I begged and pleaded to no avail. After 6 months we agreed to try again. I was walking on eggshells when talking to her. I was always worried that she will get upset if I said the wrong thing. Basically afraid to speak my mind. It felt like she was waiting for any excuse to break it off. 2 months in and after a stupid argument she broke up with me again. This time I didn’t beg or plead and immediately went into NC. After 1 month she texted me “hey my parents are in town in case if you want to see them” I stuck to NC and didn’t reply. 2 weeks later I get another text “hey my brother had his baby in case you want to call him” and again didn’t reply. Now 3 weeks have past and no calls or texts. Was she breadcrumbing or is she playing games? Effn confused. Is she in stage 6?

I'm still kind of in limbo because of how it ended so suddenly I am always expecting her to unblock AGAIN and possibly reach out but I got my eyes on someone else now who also had a break up at the beginning of the year. For me it's been 11 months since the break up. I'm wanting to understand when any woman is ready after a break up so I don't try it on with someone who may still be thinking about their ex. In my case my new crush had a break up 9 months ago. Maybe 9 months is long enough who knows. Perhaps i'll wait until the new year and if I don't get any birthday or Christmas messages from my ex then I will try it on with the other bird. ❤ I need to move on! Be great to have a video covering restraining orders etc..being that nice guy that did so much good that ended up in court because of her trauma. Their mother or father being the abuser in their life, the good guy comes along and her cortisol levels drop and that causes edlsentiqlly a drug withdrawal and they get scared and think they're being controlled as they have just been coping with the abuse for 30+ years! Horrible. 😢

Hi! Thanks for sharing. Yes, it's important to open your dating options now, especially considering how it's been many months since the breakup. Otherwise, if you have the means to do so, you can reach out to your ex after the 30 days straight of "no contact" period is over. In doing so, it's best to treat the situation with fresh eyes, so it's crucial to keep things fun and light and gently coax your ex into responding the same way. Here are the basics on what to do when it comes down to it. I also suggest you watch from start to the end and NOT skip any parts so you can maximize these tips: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYHGl3qbf9aIj9E including asking yourself these very important questions to ask yourself before starting the process: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmesZp5ratWheac but if you need the step-by-step process on what to do, including what to text or say during the process, either hire me as your coach, refer to my other vids or get the 2.0 version of my Ex Factor Guide at www.breakupbrad.com

Since that's a devastating experience, the desire/intention to fix that particular relationship then becomes a purely subjective experience. There are many causes of one partner going astray and while some cases can be worked on, other cases deserve to be left in oblivion. Hi Brad, I appreciate the channel a lot! My ex and I recently broke up over a mutual decision that our personal lives got to much into our relationship lives and caused used to break apart, due to things we needed to work on personally so it can be better for us personally, especially me not changing for her needs at the time. We have been together for 2 years and planned on having a life together by getting married and starting a family and I know on my heart it was meant to be. She still wants to be my Friend in life and she cares a lot about me. At this time I'm taking the time to let her be and do the 30 day no contact but she texted me on 3 days after we broke up saying "I'm really sorry for what you're going through" I really am" so I'm kind of confused why she would text me but its good to understand she cares in a way. I'm working on my self by working out and distractions like family and friends. Is there any advice into when I should start reaching my ex out to let her know I'm doing great on my own? So that way later I can get her attention that she wants this better man in her life that he changed. Please see this message Brad, and help me to get started privately.

@BradBrowning 4 ай бұрын
There's tons of my vids that talk about just that. Look it up. As general advice though, focus on texting and try not to meet up when one or both of you aren't ready yet. The phase you're on (assuming you've done the first phase correctly which is the 30-day no contact rule) is the second phase where you're rebuilding attraction. It's part two of the 3-phase system in my guide but here's a quick overview to help you understand better: y2u.be/7JtmVbDkblw but as you go on this phase, you'll notice one or more signs here: y2u.be/nmRM3dZAzDA and the best you can do is to continue to play your cards right and move to the third phase when you're both ready. Did you mean she went straight into another relationship right after you two broke up? Chances are your ex is rebounding anyway but the point is you shouldn't be focused on that right now. That's all out of your control. Focus on yourself instead and show (NOT tell) your ex you accept her decision to break up. If you do, you'll accept that you're both single and therefore you'd stop overanalyzing every little stuff. All right? Here are the basics to getting an ex back: y2u.be/aeGNPBdpnsI and you can see that the 30-day "no contact" rule is an absolute must. I also suggest that you read my Ex Factor Guide since that’s much more detailed and so you'll know how to go about it, what to do after each phase (there are three phases in total and the "no contact" rule is only the first), including what to say, do or not do, etc. Good timing is essential! She left me because she was confused about her feelings towards me and the relationship. We were in love and talked about our future a lot, mutually bringing it up. I want her more than I’ve ever wanted anyone. Loving her made sense, just like 2+2=4. I know she’s confused and doesn’t know what she wants and I just have no idea what to do. I’m assuming the best thing for me to do is give her space and figure it out. But I want to do any and everything I can for her to come back
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 2 ай бұрын
You're on the right track by giving her space. A healthy sense of optimism is needed indeed along with viewing the situation for what it is so as not to look at it with rose coloured glasses. This means you ought to have a balanced approach but cutting off contact will naturally help you with that, so try to stick to that rule for 30 days. One way to go about this is to not get too caught up with getting your ex back so you will allow for stuff to play naturally while playing your cards right , which is what my videos and/or my Ex Factor Guide is for. If you still can't help it, go ahead and sign up for my coaching program so I can guide you accordingly at www.breakupbrad.com/coaching but really try to have that sense of independence without your ex first. Sorry to hear that. Respecting his decision to break up is key, though. I suggest you start with the most crucial step which you haven't done yet...and that is the 30-day "no contact" rule. Forcing things, as you can see, will only draw your ex further away from you. Redo the "no contact" rule and make sure you stick to it this time. But watch this first to help manage your expectations: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hau5qqCPo7Z5is0 Here's how you can tell you're doing the "no contact" rule properly: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGjdpouhYtiJqas It may help to make use of the clean slate template, which is a free version from a piece of my Ex Factor Guide. Watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHyWqaicetx4fMk The main goal is to bring your ex into an emotional neutral state by employing the 30-day “no contact” rule - let your ex miss you and don't rush it. But in order to fully understand how this concept works, watch the free in-depth video on my website to learn some psychology techniques and understand how giving each other space for around a month can benefit you than otherwise, at www.breakupbrad.com Take care and good luck!

I teach folks to take on a more active approach (if you want your ex back) rather than a passive one... as you could be waiting forever. Anyway you can reach out to your ex after the 30 days straight of "no contact" period is over.

What I'm saying is like all things in life, there's pros and cons to each status. It's best to decide which one you're most happy with but if you've just gotten out of a long term relationship, it's important to stay single first. Take care!

Hey Brad, update here! You said I had been too needy, so I decided to heed your advice and go no contact for a while, and here's what happened. Update: My ex gf who had blocked me and is still ignoring me, reached out a few days ago (this is about 2 weeks after I went no contact) and texted that she was sorry for getting into a relationship so early with me without knowing me properly, bcoz she has realised I have many qualities she doesn't like, and so she broke up. She said she only contacted me bcoz she thought I needed an explanation and she doesn't want to start a conversation with me. I explained that I understood why our relationship didn't work out, she didn't have anything to apologise for, and that I didn't care whether she wanted to speak with me or not. All in all, I wasn't needy this time and tried to act pretty chill. But at the end of the conversation she blocked me and is now ignoring me again. (Although she hasn't blocked me on telegram yet, but that's coz she doesn't know I'm on telegram:) What do you suggest I do now?

Whoa. Sorry to hear that... Needless to say, that's a pretty huge move. Sorry, but chances are your beau has been at least emotionally cheating on you. Discussed that in depth here: y2u.be/7KE6nb4-ndA There's no easy way to say this but the answer is is to move on, especially if your ex doesn't seem to be regretting their actions and asking to get back together. Most of the time, a lot of people would move on, but a few would still fight for the relationship, so this all depends which side you're on and what your views are. But take into consideration about what I’ve mentioned here, too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2OahX-brrqgrck There is no right or wrong answer here because it is your relationship and it's personal to you. This may help you process or deal with the breakup efficiently: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bavTaIZ8l8p2iLc but if you find yourself needing more guidance on how to lead a more fruitful life without your ex, get my Beat the Breakup Guide at www.beatmybreakup.com or get my Ex Factor Guide if you want to try to get your ex back in the best possible way, at www.breakupbrad.com Take care!

So I was with my ex for 4 years and engaged for one. We broke up in February and she blocked me everywhere. In early April she contacted to check in on me and to tell me she is seeing someone else. I’m Florida now and she is in California because I was in the military. How can I get her back, what can I do?

Stage 6 may be a long time coming especially if the new beau can give her constant companionship, rebound or not. With that said, wait for a better time before interacting with your ex, however, don't wait around doing nothing. Take a leap of faith on a new path as well because you never know where life can take you, which may be better without your ex. Use this time to heal and prioritize yourself. But if it's been more than a year or so, make sure to check the signs if your ex has moved on, here: y2u.be/ZyJRphwDca4 and this should help guide you on what to do for the time being: y2u.be/hlikXIfMYN8 However, make it a point to be really productive with your time being apart. Follow the tips here to help guide you further: y2u.be/gUB Good luck!

If it's at an early parts of stage 6, yes. Otherwise sorry, but that's unlikely because most don't get stuck at the regretful stage for too long. I'm sure you've been there yourself at one point in your life in previous relationships, right? How did you feel about an ex when you were at stage 6?

The process of saving one's marriage is a bit complicated and in fact, does NOT make use of the "no contact" rule... but this is why I've released a second book called Mend the Marriage. Check it out at www.marriageguy.com as everything is on there, from how to communicate more effectively, down to how to handle the kids (if applicable), monitor your progress through worksheets and stuff. But while I certainly need more information to know what's going on between you two for sure, I suggest you check out more marriage-saving tips which you may find useful, check out this new channel I've dedicated solely for this purpose. With on-and-off relationships, oftentimes this is a sign of underlying issues which have been left unaddressed for quite some time. It may be time to put things into perspective while it's still early because in 14 years spent as a relationship online coach alone, I find that a breakup is often NOT just one person's fault, so look at the roles that you've BOTH played that led to the breakup and if the issues have a chance to get resolved, and how to go about it. In most cases, the problems that led to the breakup can be resolved, but in some cases, it can't. So take time to evaluate, okay? However, I have to warn you not to ask the reasons from your ex. This is what I've discussed here along with other stuff that might help you, so this is a must-watch: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKKkdpxvhcd4d6M But if you're interested in making this your last breakup, sign up for my coaching program at www.breakupbrad.com/coaching especially if there's an available spot. What about a stubborn ex? That’s a difficult situation no?
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 4 ай бұрын
When did you two broke up? If you're done with the "no contact" phase and therefore had sent one of these text messages for re-establishing contact, give your ex time to warm up slowly to you. Don't expect one text to work magic because it simply doesn't work that way. Getting an ex back is a process, therefore, learn to be patient and like I said, give her time to actually come close to you. She can't do that if you keep chasing her. Makes sense? Also, this may help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnPSpYSvnN5qpdU

@@BradBrowning our relationship was for 17 years and I waited through no contact for 4 months then started texting her just 1 message every week. She would reply and text for a little then stop. I waited another month asking her for a coffee meetup with no pressure. She said she wanted to think about it. The next week she declined. I’m thinking about not sending her a weekly text anymore, it’s been 9 months now. Thank appreciate you,

I teach folks to take on a more active approach (if you want your ex back) rather than a passive one... as you could be waiting forever. Anyway you can reach out to your ex after the 30 days straight of "no contact" period is over.

As I always say, the decision is ultimately up to you. You know your situation and your ex best. Sometimes a relationship can be salvaged and worth the save but sometimes it isn't, especially if there's cheating or some other type of abuse involved or if it was overall a dysfunctional/toxic relationship. It's your life and it's your decision.
