Things I started doing is speaking aloud affirmations of what I believe in myself. "I am on top of the world" .. "I am impacting lives." .."I am blessed beyond belief".."I love my life and doing for others". And the art of hearing it really it over and over does something for my subconscious .. it keeps me aligned during the rocky times.

i live in a country where most activities start at 7 (i know, right?!), and I used to wake up at like 6 or 6.30, so I don't have time to do much thing. Now I wake up at 4 am every single day and it is great. It's not easy at first.It took time, and I have to build my routine gradually. The first few months I woke up at 5.30, then 5, then 4.30, then finally at 4. Now it's steady at 4 and I love every moment of my morning routine.
@angelembertson28798 жыл бұрын
Just made my morning routine plan. It's not perfect but it is a start. I plan on doing them all for exactly one minute and gradually increase by one minute after each passing day. If I forget or just deiced not to do it I will set it one minute back and continue this process till I get to desired amount of time for each morning habit. Thank you so much, Alex!!!

Hey ModernHealthMonk, So glad I found your channel! I'm currently a 20 year old going to community college going for a robotics and computer science degree, I started on my journey for self-improvement shortly after starting college and made some great strides. However a year later, things have started slowing down and I find myself falling back into some of my bad habits. I think it's because I never really "made" any new good habits to replace them, instead I tried to get through by sheer force and it has worn me out. Hoping your videos will allow me to continue progressing in life! Subscribed!

One of the activity I do everyday now is to spend at least 40 to 45 minutes on the newspaper. Earlier , I hated myself for having a poor General Knowledge. With time I adopted the technique of forcibly reading the paper, and today I am addicted to it. Not only it improved my awareness , but also it provided me a reason to wake up on time every single day

You're wasting time with the newspaper. Not only does it give you negative influence, but also vague knowledge. You don't need general knowledge in this world. You need specialized knowledge. Read books instead.

One of the best things i have added to my morning/bedtime routine is... Going through the alphabet A-Z and saying OUT LOUD one word (or phrase) for every letter, something I am thankful for, appreciative of, or want to work on/towards!

No sometimes i whip through it in 30 seconds. The main goal is to just let go of thoughts and my analytical mindstate. Also a quick form of prayer in a way, just giving thanks to all things. Great to wake up to and finish the day off with.

Just discovered your channel today- the tips that you have given in this video; especially the phrase that you used right at the head of the video- "HOUR OF POWER"...that was something phenomenal for me. I love the way you use conventional techniques like yoga to your purpose- it adds more meaning while trying to inculcate a habit. One thing that I would like to add to the list is that when starting something new and supposedly difficult, it is essential to start off with baby steps. Otherwise things like waking up early in the morning (which needs you to sleep early at night) or even losing weight might seem monumental and you will end giving up altogether!

Meditation hands down, yoga in the morning, whether be 3 sun salutations or 15 mins of yin... and followed by 15 mins of meditation in the morning and 15+ mins of meditation before bed... I have noticed when I meditate before bed i fall asleep a lot faster in a restful peaceful manner. Remember peeps, thoughts tense the brain and when you meditate it takes tension out giving it more flexibility giving it more space for sudden insight to come in or just relieving stress in general. Our culture isn't normal and the only way to live happy healthy lives is acceptance, structure, discipline and detachment.... materials won't fill any void inside I've learned that the hard way. You can cling to others or buy all you want.. until you're at peace with yourself, that void will always be there. Good videos m8

As soon as I get up, I hit the shower, followed by snack of small fruit salad, and glass of almond milk. Off to the gym for a 45 min workout, 30 mins cardio, 15 mins weights. Home to some household chores, meal prep for work, typically a salad and fruit salad, for lunch and morning tea. Or as I'm working night shifts now, for my meal and snack. Have breakfast a few hours later, cut up Granny Smith apple, cut up banana with granola (home made by me) and coconut yogurt, 2 fresh dates and a cup of jasmine tea. I verbalise my prayers whilst showering, and practise my meditations at home on the lounge. I enjoy writing positive and encouraging entries in my journal daily, and read aloud positive affirmations. Like to fill my own tank daily, before I even leave my home, so I have more to give to my family, workplace etc. I am a firm believer in self nurture and love, in all areas, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Its really confusing that i do meditation since 7-8 weeks everyday and i can literally feel the anger, sadness more if i skip one day. I skipped like 4-5 times in those 2 months because i really had no time before going to school haha and its really crazy that meditation gives me some kinda secret mood over the WHOLE day :) . I literally vanished my whole anxiety, but still keep working on my anger. I love that i went from overthinking to calmness most of the time. :). Alex, I've been following your videos for sometime now. You're indeed doing a great job. Kudos. I've indeed started tweaking my habits but I'm not able to be consistent with it when an assignment or a test is on the cards and is nearing in time. 1) Can you please make a video on how to handle both your daily habits and your assignments consistently and simultaneously without stressing too much? 2) As I am from India, can I know whether your book is available on Amazon India (I don't think so it is)?
@ModernHealthMonk8 жыл бұрын
Hey Somnath, 1. You mean you aren't able to consistently study in time for a test, or keep up with other habits? 2. Yep! Right now, it's not (for some reason), but you can get the kindle version in the USA store and then read on your computer with the kindle reader. Would that work?
@sansurvives8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for taking your time to reply, Alex. 1) Yes, I am not able to consistently study in time for a test when I concentrate on my daily routine and vice versa. I am really interested to keep myself healthy, fit and simultaneously be focused on my studies. How to slowly develop this sort of a routine for my lifetime? 2) That's a good suggestion. Let me check it out and let you know about it. :)

Great content! :) This is an awesome channel! I actually struggle with setting up a proper morning routine for about a year now! Always falling back into not doing the things that should help me start the morning right. Most of the time because I´m feeling totally tired when I wake up and also rebellious against the day - thinking that I don´t wanna get up yet. And if I just try to push those feelings away but getting up anyways I can still feel them as tension in my body that makes me feel sick over time and sucks out so much of my energy. So my major issue is to start the morning in a relaxed yet motivated way. So far I can only get into that state at the weekend when I lay in bed and sleep as much as I can - and sometimes even more - and then get some coffee and sweets and watch a number of motivating videos. But too often the day is almost already gone before I feel "ready" to do anything. And then I come back to feeling terrible in the evening because I´m afraid I wasted another day of my life looking forward to a similar experience the next day. What I will try next after watching this video is to look for a motivating music or speech that I can play to start my day consistently and thereby walking around my house to get moving. I hope it works.

Funny thing, you said something about this in and old video so today was the first day I tried. I didn't do it first thing in the morning, had breakfast first haha but first I did 7 minutes of yoga, don't really know that much about it but did some exercises I could think of (maybe you could do a video about a simple rutine). Then I meditated with a guided video I found, since for me all of this is the first time, I did just 5 minutes, I wanted to be able to be focus and not to wonder. Then said to me the affirmations, 3 things I'm gratefull for, I visualized my goals in life and visualized what I was going to do today to get there. I did well for most of the day, still have trouble studying, I'm doing chemical engineering, but big thank you for the help, I'm going to keep it up, awesome channel !

I am now 23 and I have totally lost myself. I can't concentrate on my study though I want to continue it. I also like meditation but I lost my willingness to do it. Your voice really inspires me. Now I think I should follow you. Bro, plz guide me with your motivational speech @ModernHealthMonk.
