I love how people think you just have to plug in the computer and it tells you how to fix their problem. Nobody thinks about how long it really takes to actually diagnose it so it can be fixed correctly. You are so knowledgeable in electronics and diagnosis, keep up the great work Warren!

This latest generation of electronically controlled stuff, i.e. everything after 1996 is a nightmare. The road tractors just keep piling up at our company shop. We have 12 tractors down,( 60 drivers terminal) even the ones still moving have lit up dash boards while were hauling freight. Keep it up, this is what you have to do. Youre very mentally stable, only 1 outta 20 have such a good technique like yours

I'm kinda wondering about a faulty FNR switch. Seemed like when you initially couldn't get it to move at all, you cycled the FNR several times and then your scan tool showed a 1 on that last digit. Just a WAG. Good luck Warren, you are the best.

That was the absolute best era for Tractors. I still prefer my 7210 over the 3 others that were built in the past 2 decades. It’s only downside is that it is too big for some jobs.

Friend of mine has a 6410 MFWD cab 640 loader. 1200 original hours. Bought new, lol and all he has is a pair of draft horses. That's why it's so low houred.

@@nicholasbrown7068 If I remember correctly mine has about 5k hrs. All I have ever had to do to it is service it, replace the evaporator, and replace the engine to transmission u-joints. It has had less problems in its entire life than my 2014-6125M and 2016-6105E had in their first year. One NOx sensor for the 6105 cost more than every part I ever had to buy for the 7210 combined...

a trick that a ford transmission guy showed me if yu have sticking valve is to put the valve with no spring on the sticking position then reverse it and slam the valve body on a piece of wood ,apparently you have a steel piece of steel imbedded in the bore ,doing that slamming imbeds that piece the bore resolving your problem

I was worried Warren would stop making videos due to some comments and FB policies but the videos have kept coming and don’t think it’s not appreciated.Mechanics like to watch to learn something new. Something else is how you hold onto the camera when you roll under a piece of equipment, hell I’d be lucky just to get under there.

Hi Warren, Thanks for sharing. I was wandering in what I could do from home for troubleshooting the spool valve could I use permanent marker on the spool and see where the marker is rubbing or scratched, then measure it across the valve body spool and look inside with a borescope to see if there is an abnormality in the surfaces. Would valve grinding compound polish out the abnormal area or wetted 2000 grit paper coiled onto a split end rod wetted with hydraulic oil? Just thinking about what I could physically do. I know you said you cleaned it many time with a bore rod and brushes like a gun bore. Thank you for sharing your troubleshooting knowledge Warren.

Had a 6410 that was driving me crazy trying to figure it out. Turned out to be bad connections on the relays for the reverser. Luckly my relay tester cables had longer spades and made the connection inside the fuse relay panel.

You can use service advisor but takes a special harness that plugs into the Diag fuse and the metripack connector in the fuse panel. Honestly using the dash menus is about the easiest.
