Currently under way on a 71 chevelle build. Lot of a body similarities for sure. I'm also shaving drip rails and filling out the front and rear windshield channels for factory flushmount glass. Lots of work creating the 1/8" gap around the glass entirely and raising the installed height of the glass to ditch the trim but well worth it in my opinion. Thanks for all your body work vids I'm roughly in the same place you are with your build.

Your car sounds like it's going to be awesome when it's done. I kept debating on doing the flush mount glass on my GTO. I finally decided not to do it. I was looking into the flush kits that you can buy, they were outrageous in price.. who knows, I change my mind off. I might decide to do flush mount. I have so much time in this car. I just want to get it done at this point, but I don't want to skimp at the same time. Thanks for leaving a comment. All the best my friend. Keep in touch

Joe, Thank you for riding along. I'm glad that my videos helped you. I am going to be cutting the front fender to get more Tire space. That will probably be my next video. I am going to take a break for a couple months, probably get back at it early September. All the best.

My 68 is taking a ton of time as well. Midwest car. Lots of rust to repair. I did abc Mini tub, hellwig frame gusset kit. custom gussets and rear suspension work. New trunk floor, wheel houses are in. Alot more to go. I'm rolling the front fenders and modifying the inners to fit. And trimming that wheel opening heal like you are to clear larger front tires.

Your car sounds like mine. You are doing a lot of work just like mine. Keep going it's going to be awesome when you're done. I keep changing my mind, now I want to do original flush mount glass. If I decide to do that. it's going to be another month or so to complete. I didn't think of rolling the front fender wheel wells. That's a great idea. All the best... keep in touch

@@classicrewind2715 the top of the fender and inner will rub with wider wheels during compression. Thinking ahead and doing that now vs later. I like how flush mount looks. Over my skill and patience level. There's a company that sells oversized glass so you don't have to do the metal work but it's not cheap.
@classicrewind27155 ай бұрын
Yes definitely not cheap. That's why I'm thinking of using the original glass

Harry, When you cut that fender back, could you possibly make a video of that? About the tach on the hood , you can go either way. The car will look good . The side mirrors ,I was going to do the exact same thing. I have two of them that I saved off a wreck I built in 1978. Thank you, Tom
@classicrewind27155 ай бұрын
Hi Tom. I will definitely make a video of cutting the fender back. Those sleek mirrors look pretty sharp on a Resto mod. The hood Tach is a tough decision to make. You are correct. It could go either way. It will still would look good both ways. Thanks for commenting. All the best

@@classicrewind2715 The GT-37 is dorment currently. But I have the frame removed and getting ready to redo !
@classicrewind27155 ай бұрын
@rajcam80 Are you going to powder coat it, or are you going to use the frame paint from eastwood?
@rajcam805 ай бұрын
@@classicrewind2715 Probably paint. Powder coating may be more expensive.

No hood tack or spoiler. Much cleaner. The mirrors you seek are 71-72 sport mirrors.
@classicrewind27155 ай бұрын
Sorry for the late response. I think the sport mirrors are really cool, much sleeker. I was still thinking of going with the spoiler what do you think?
