Hi Carli! I have respect for Chuck and the way he delivered the scriptures in his talks, but when the 'Seventy Weeks of Daniel' is being discussed I find it difficult to go along with what is accepted as truth. Though controversial, there is another explanation from scripture of Daniel's Prophesy, one that has not been put together by the Church. The Hebrew Script of Daniel 9:24-27 holds what I believe is the truth, but because of the introduction of vowel pointing by the Masoretic Scribes around 600/700 CE the Translation of Daniel has been changed, hiding under the introduction of a Tradition of 'Weeks'. Daniel 9:24, begins with two identical Hebrew Numbers, שבעים שבעים SHaBA(y)YaM SHaBA(y)YaM meaning 'Seventy Seventy' indicating Two Calculations each beginning with Seventy found in verse 25. One 'Seventy' is changed through vowel pointing into the word 'Weeks' hence Seventy 'Weeks'. This change of Numbers into Words is continued throughout Daniel 9:24-27. The accepted translation, when calculated, gives the outcome presented by Chuck. If we instead look only to the Hebrew Script itself for our calculation, we are given the information presented to Daniel by Gabriel. This information is more accurate and is supported by Scripture and History, giving us the following: Daniel 9:25, Seventy x7=490 plus Seven x7=49 Total= 539 The Decree of King Cyrus of Persia in 539 BCE Daniel 9:25, Seventy x7=490 minus Sixty Two x7=434 Total= 56 The Birth of the Messiah in 56 BCE Daniel 9:26, And after the Seventy Sixty and Two, a repeat of the above calculation The Death of the Messiah at the end of 1 BCE and beginning 1 CE after 56 years of life. Daniel 9:27, Seven x7=49 plus Three x7=21 Total= 70 The Confirming of the Covenant with His disciples at Pentecost and the years leading up to the Destruction of Jerusalem and Temple in 70 CE And a mention of the 'One who makes Desolate' even until the consummation (the marriage of the Lamb). Let me know what you think Carli? Supporting scriptures if you are interested?

No. Whilst I appreciate the effort you have gone to, there are too many errors in your theory. Controversial is a light way of putting it. Jesus lived for 33 years not 56. It was the fulfilment of a new covenant at Pentecost, which was the imparting of the Holy Spirit as prophesied by Jeremiah (31:31-34) not the confirming of one that we see in Daniel 9:27. Many like to ‘calculate’ & squeeze their version of events, trying to make it fit scripture. But after 60 years of studying the Bible, Chuck, though never dogmatic, I believe, was always right on. And after my own studies, I came to my own conclusion & agree with him.

@@carli.savedbygrace Hi Carli! I can understand your rejection, after so long a time of study, but think about what was said at John 8:56-57 ...you are not yet fifty years old and you have seen Abraham?. The Jews would not have made that statement if He was in His thirties, it would imply that he was in his late forties. There is no scriptural support for His death at the age of 33, it's a part of traditional belief. The Covenant, Mark 14:24 this is my blood of the covenant which is poured out for many. The pouring out of His blood in death was how the covenant came into force. Pentecost was the giving of the Holy Spirit, Luke 3:16 ...He shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire. Baptism by water is a confirmation of Faith in the Covenant. Holy Spirit is the Anointing that confirms our relationship with the Father and Son. Daniel 9:27 is saying that 'He (the Messiah) shall confirm a covenant with many...' Concerning the Holy Spirit, Acts 8:16, for as yet it was fallen upon none of them: only they had been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. See, John 7:38-39.

@DavidJones-ji9ce And John 8:58 goes on to say “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am” Jesus has always been, He is the I Am. The fact they’re pointing out that he’s no where near 50 years of age says it all. Luke 3:23 ~ And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Hel. This is when He began His ministry & was crucified 3 years later. You’re trying to add to the word of God, we are warned not to do this. Daniel 27 is a future prophecy. It’s Daniel’s 70th week, the time of Jacob’s Trouble which does not begin until after the rapture of the church & the breaking of the 1st seal on the seven sealed scroll IS the confirming of the covenant between the antichrist & the many. That’s what starts the 7 year tribulation period.

@@carli.savedbygrace Hi Carli! Please don't think of me as an enemy of the Gospel or someone who is adding to what is written in the Scriptures. I just have an enquiring mind. I reason on the Scriptures, searching for truths, as I'm sure Chuck did during his Ministry. To question what is presented to us is a way of confirming what is true so we can rejecting what is false, Acts 17:10-11. As mentioned in my first comment, 'You can't change a Number into a Word' without changing the outcome of the prophesy, and this is what has happened in Daniel. The Translation of the Text in Daniel 9:24-27 is changed by vowel pointing altering the meaning. Though accepted by the majority it is not correct. There is no Sixty Nine 'Weeks', 'Weeks' has replaced the Number 'Seventy'. If we just accept what is presented to us we would end up like the Pharisees and Sadducees who were blinded by their Traditions, not having an open mind to consider truth. Question: How did the Magi know the year of the Birth of the Messiah? Answer: They had access to the writings of Daniel, their mentor, giving them the year of the Birth of 'Messiah the Prince', though they didn't know the exact place and needed a star to guide them. A question for another time would be, 'what was that Star they were following'? Peace be with you Carli and may you be blessed.

THE TIME OF JACOB'S TROUBLE- WHAT IS IT? We are looking at what the Bible said would be conditions that will be present when the Church Age begins to come to a close and conditions that will be present at the start of the time of Jacob's trouble! One dispensation is closing and the other is slowing coming in and we are right in the middle of the overlap between the two! All dispensations in the bible overlap with each other, our dispensation is ending exactly as it began in Acts 8 when it overlapped the end of the Kingdom Age. What we are seeing is the closing of the nearly 2,000-year old Church Age as it is overlapping with the soon-to-be-time of Jacob’s trouble. The "time of Jacob's trouble" comes from Jeremiah 30:7 that says, "Alas! For that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it" (KJV). What is this "time of distress for Jacob" (ESV)? In previous verses, God promised He would someday restore His people to their land, meaning the land of Israel. Despite a great time of distress for the Jewish people, the Lord would save them from it.Jeremiah 30:8-9 make it clear that this time would be a period in which God's people no longer served other masters, but would serve the Lord and "David their king, whom I will raise up for them" (v. 9). The imagery in the Jeremiah passage most closely resembles the predictions given by Jesus in Matthew 24. For example, Jesus called the trials that would take place among the Jewish people "the beginning of the birth pains" (v. 8). In 1 Thessalonians 5:3, Paul also describes this period by saying, "While people are saying, 'There is peace and security,' then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape." Jacob's trouble or Jacob's distress refers to the difficulties the Jewish people will face during the seven-year tribulation period. During this time, the Jewish temple will be rebuilt, yet desecrated. The Antichrist will break a covenant and set himself up as ruler and expect to be worshiped. He will force all people to receive a mark to buy or sell goods. In addition, much war and famine will occur, with Jews fleeing Jerusalem to the mountains. Despite these troubles, the Lord will fulfill His promises. In addition to protecting His people, He will return in victory (Revelation 19:11-21). Following His victory, the Messiah will rule from Jerusalem in peace for1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-6). Following one last attack led by Satan, the Lord will defeat His enemies, complete His final judgment, and establish a new heavens, a new earth, and a new Jerusalem where He will dwell with His people forever (Revelation 21-22). All of these prophecies developed more fully in Revelation are helpful in better understanding the time of Jacob's trouble mentioned by Jeremiah. Further, with the coming of Jesus Christ as the Messiah, some of the prophecies of Jeremiah have already been fulfilled. In addition, Israel has already been re-established as a nation in 1948 following 1,900 years without a nation for the Jewish people. This historic change offers evidence that God has not abandoned the Jewish people but has kept His promises to bring Israel back to its land in the last days. Though Israel will continue to experience difficulties now and in the future, God promises He will ultimately restore His people and offer peace during a time when He rules over His people. www.rapturecountdown.com/the-time-of-jacobs-trouble-what-is-it/ Jacob (Israel) is in trouble and is about to go into the 'Time Of Jacobs Trouble'! God is about to turn his attention back to His nation of Israel with the commencement of the time of Jacob's trouble! Israel is about to take center stage, where does that put the Church in God’s timetable? Rapture Imminent! www.rapturecountdown.com/
