Did not get into chess, but I am currently leaning into it, since all my friends are chess fans. Your channel is amazing for me, since it mixes asmr, historic games and tactics. Also, I am kinda craving for hearing about female chess players and games they played, so I love the fact that you mention them. Somehow, it motivates me to learn. :) Thank you a lot for helping me sleep and (sometimes) play chess!
@ASMRChess2 жыл бұрын
If you are looking for inspirational female players I can recommend looking at Judit Polgar’s games. She was an absolute beast at her peak and is still amazingly good - she recently destroyed Magnus Carlsen in a blitz game in park. Her story is also very interesting. For content creators I’d recommend Anna Rudolf, Anna Cramling and Fionchetta. Also you should watch the Netflix show “Queens Gambit” if you haven’t already. It is really good and have an amazing female lead.

Hello. Your channel is awesome. Thanks to you I started following the sport of chess. Anyway, both you and the "chessnetwork" channel are the best for relaxation, in my opinion, although I must admit that I have fallen asleep a couple times to a GingerGM stream, but only due to the massive difference in timezones 😆. (I think the first video of yours I randomly found one night was your commentary about him vs Naka or something... it's been a while.)

@ASMRChess2 жыл бұрын
There is a meme these days that is based on Fischer’s abhorrent views and insanity later in life. While Fischer was certainly a troubled individual before his world championship match, he was not the deranged person we saw emerge after the match. I like the meme in that it emphasizes that we should never, for any reason, accept racist opinions. But I am also sad that the meme paints a very inaccurate picture of who and what Bobby Fischer was and many newcomers to chess get a completely warped perspective on the man. Racism is always wrong but there is a difference between somebody who lives a privileged life and chooses to hate because they simply want to feel that they are better and worth more than other people, and somebody who becomes racist because they live in a deranged and paranoid fantasy world. If Bobby Fischer had gotten help and care at various points throughout his life he would probably have developed into a much different and better person later in life, instead of the insane racist we got stuck with.
@callmeandoru26272 жыл бұрын
@@ASMRChess ah, thanks for the information. That’s a lot to take in for me as I didn’t know who Bobby Fischer was other than his name and the fact that he was a very good chess player. I was just very surprised Fischer (in the video) didn’t act in the same manner you’d expect a typical pro-chess-player would.
