Because Ronaldo and Messi played at the highest levels for club and country and won trophies. They did and still earn crazy money, hence no need to move to some backwater league until they felt there's nothing left to achieve. Now that they're bascially retired, then can do and play where they want. Ighalo just took the money when the chance came, and tbh there's no shame in that when you trying to secure your future knowing you'll never achieve legendary football status. Don't be so mad!

Envy is hard to prove tbh.. no footballer would admit envy or even make it obvious. The only case I can think of is Carl Jenkinson (who?) but that's a stretch For context he pissed away his peak career by staying at Arsenal to warm the bench and get loaned out in hopes that he would one day be a permanent first team player as Arsenal was his boyhood club. Ighalo did the right thing by going to China it’s what he did afterwards that wasn’t great n my opinion. Should’ve gone back to Europe and still got a fat bag. No need to chase money after having a contract of 300k a week for two seasons. It’s a hard choice to refuse to stay in china for 400k but sometimes you have to know the level of football you compete at. No disrespect to china but Ighalo was far too good to go to waste there for that long.

The bigger issue for Pogba was probably Uniteds offensive ineffectiveness. He was clearly poor defensively, but his long passing was second to none. This was easy to ignore because his teammates (other than Fellaini) lacked the touch or the creativity to utilise them.
@glny65644 ай бұрын
i don’t even think pogba was all too poor defensively he was just very misprofiled in what he could do there… he can win ground duels and arial duels on 1v1s, and despite being slow he isn’t a terrible presser, but the problem is he lost a lot of fitness at united and also was never a great tackler. i agree with everything you said though
