The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

That cavs-warriors gm 7 was super intense. Nobody have scored for 4 minutes and one basket would surely decide who's going to win the game. I'm rooting for the Cavs to win and really was hopeless when iggy drove to the basket to score the 1st point in the last 4 minutes when LeBron came out of nowhere to block that shot. And then when kyrie hit that 3, that sigh of relief was so satisfying after that intense sequence.

Despite the fact that those Finals are at least top5 ever (legends everywhere on that court, two unreal teams, competitiveness at an all time high, 5 games ended up with less than a 11 point difference), that final game7 was also full of thrills! Celtics won by 9. That game7 between Boston and Philly in 1981?! That’s definitely on that top3 though, I agree. Hell, as far as Playoffs series go, that can be called the GOAT series! The physicality and competitiveness was UNREAL. Crazy basketball being played, and also two great teams! Not "soon" - it would take about 7-8 years before Kobe would win his MVP award. Kobe was a great player, but those 2000-2002 Laker teams were really Shaq's teams. When he left, Lakers struggled for a while until they got Pau Gasol.
@randomperson2540
@randomperson2540 11 ай бұрын
@Igor Cabral that's fine. I just find funny. Of course, Shaq was the best player in the league for 2000-2, but when Kobe was better than shaq in 03, then it's Tim Duncan. Then I assume you have Bron for his better all-around game and leading his team to finals. Even though I barely heard Wade be called the best in the world , he led his team to a chip in 06. Kobe was definitely a better all-around player than both Shaq and Tim. Then, of course, Kobe wins mvp and leads his team to the finals, and that still wasn't enough, lol.

It was great, but I left if off, because the way it ended leaves a sour taste. Game 6 had the Phantom Foul, and then in Game 7, there was people storming the court IN A ONE POSSESSION GAME, and the no call foul on Isiah as time expired. Honestly just felt like the league wanted the Pistons to lose for their antics. I understand anyone who had in on their list though, but I just can't watch the end of that Game 7 without feeling like something is wrong

Jonny, I enjoy your basketball programs very much and I consider you to be very knowledgeable. However when it comes to game 7's there is no doubt in my mind that game 7 of the 1957 NBA finals is the greatest and possibly the greatest series ever played. Other game 7's would be the 1962 celtics vs. warriors and lakers, 1963 celtics vs. Royals, 1965 celtics vs. 76ers, 1966 celtics vs. Lakers and 1968 celtics vs. 76ers.

There will always be great game 7's regardless of any decade. However, I believe the game 7's I selected would match up against any. Unfortunately, these games are not spoken about much. History should be researched more.

Well hands down 2016 nba finals game 7 is the greatest and most iconic game 7 in nba history and one of the most iconic and greatest games and final series in nba history. We were blessed to witness the 2 greatest players of our generation duel in the finals multiple times but that year those series were the best. Also the lakers vs celtics were always iconic and even tho we didn't witness the duels between them during the 60s those years and the stacked amount of talent in both teams and then in the 80s those teams and duels even in today's era they would have been some of the greatest duels in history.

I just remember near the game 7 end of the Celtics vs. Lakers, Kobe looked exhausted. He looked as wore out as he did in his final game in the NBA. He was so hurt, but he would not dare miss a damn playoff game. Especially against the Celtics in the finala. Honestly, he had no business even shooting the ball, so he grabbed 15 freaking rebounds and played hellacious defense. Lebron can have all his stats, he'll never replace Kobe, and i don't even hate Lebron.
