Thanks for the tips, your video helped and I just passed my series 7 first round. Here is some inputs, hope it can help other future colleagues, please share yours: 1/ Series 7 is not an easy go-thru-and-remember a couple of questions. It does not help to crunch dozens of mock tests, you need to read, understand and be able to explain each chapter of the text book. 2/ Join a Tutoring program, and one is enough. The voice of the gentleman in this video is really nice, and keep this in mind as you would have to listen many times the same tutorials. My company chose STC, and they have one of their instructors a bit difficult to understand for non-US native and his voice was a bit annoying to me in the long run. In the end he gave some really good tips for the test so it's fine though. Am not affiliated, but the tips in this videos are spot on for the test. 3/ Give your self some time. 10 weeks worked for me. Yes - 10 weeks. I am not feeling I wasted time pouring hours into it, I have no shame saying I spent time into studying. I had a day job too. I am not buying the people bragging about getting the test in 2 weeks with minimum study just over weekends. Especially for non-US person, this test covers really foreign things like muni-bonds, retirement plans and tax impact. They have rules, exceptions and waivers to the exceptions that are unique and you probably never seen these products before and even more likely you will never see them after, but you need to understand them. So that's why, 10 weeks for me was the good balance between learning and absorbing the thought process. 4/ Go Paper: When you join a tutorial program, you have two pdf, one is the detailed Book and one is the workbook with diagrams. Print them on A4 2 pages per sheet, both sides. Bind them together, that's less than an inch thick. Bring the doc always along with you, it should become your bible for the next 10 weeks. 5/ All Chapters matter: It's tempting to binge and zap back and forth the text book, and that might works for other exams. However I found I needed to work the chapters one at a time, and do questions after each chapter to consolidate the understanding and memorization. Download the video of the tutorials and listen to a full chapter at the gym or during commute, do not hesitate to repeat again and again. There are also flash cards but I did not find them very useful. 6/ The day before the exam: take a day off emails/sms/social medias/news/friends/family. Instead, go for solo outdoor sport in the morning listening to one of the most difficult chapter. Ideally stay outdoor in a sunny/sheltered and breezy environment and do one test, follow by review of each questions explanation. In the late afternoon, do some solo outdoor sport for another 1hour, listening to the second most difficult chapter. In the evening and before sleeping, read your text book in a relaxed way, especially the parts you Stabilo'ed. This should prep you for a good night sleep prior to your exam day. 7/ On the day of the exam: I chose an early afternoon session more than a morning session, and I skipped lunch and had a light breakfast. Anyway, I knew I gonna be stressed so the less I have to process in my belly, the more I can process in your brain. I took a break when I had still 1 hour to go, I actually finished all the questions by then, but marked quite a lot to review. A bit of fresh air was very important to reset my mind after non-stop answering and reviewing questions. Over-killing? well, trust me, you don;t want to sit twice to retake this beast of exam, so don;t follow the guys who said "if you get a 73% you study too hard". But what do you think?

Hi Mohit, I'm not sure if you're eligible for the Series 7 Top-Off Exam. I would consult with FINRA for the most definite answer. Sorry I can't be of more help.

you can take the SIE. You will need to work for a brokerage firm to take the series 7.
