These guys drink like a gallon of water a day well before the challenge and then eat massive amounts of food in prep as well. They also have control over the nausea receptors in the brain and their gag reflex. Adam is just a normal dude, but yeah, you need serious discipline and skill to eat vast quantities of food. And the sad part is they are doing damage to their bodies. I mean, they permanently stretch their stomachs and what they do not realize is it is effectively shortening their life. If, God forbid these competitive eaters were put in a survival situation where they get stranded, they would not last 24 hours. But, then again, you only live once, so fuck it, do what you love.
