FORGET Pugs, Pomeranians or Chihuahuas - the rich and famous could soon be carrying a PIT BULL in their Gucci handbags. A new breed of “micro pit bulls” is rapidly becoming the must-have canine companion in the world of designer dogs. John Truitt, 30, from Long Beach in California, runs The Collectibulls, a company which breeds, trains, and sells ‘bullies’ to customers around the world, and is a leading advocate for the breed. His signature dog is Queen Califia, a 12-inch-high “micro pit bull” who has been valued at over $75,000. Regular pygmy pit bulls sell for anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000, with interest coming from as far afield as Italy, China and Australia.

He's had issues adjusting to things like shiny floors or stairs but guess what, he's my service dog now. Point is you can absolutely find a good dog in a shelter. Even if you want to know your dogs past there are options in a shelter as I said.

I think that this goes without saying, but I wanted anyone that may see the words "Pit Bull" here and get the wrong idea to know that this dog is NOT an American Pit Bull. It is not even a miniature American Pit Bull. This is an entirely different breed bred for different purposes. There are a lot of different Bully/Bulldog breeds and mixes that people call Pit Bulls out there, but they are not American Pit Bulls. Some breeds people call Pit Bulls are breeds like American Staffordshires, American Bulldogs, Staffordshire Bulls, Bull Terriers, Dogo Argentinos, Presa Canarios, American Bullies (like the dog in this video is), etc. But people should learn that just because a dog is called a Pit Bull doesn't make them all the same breed. Before some people look at something like this strangely-bred midget American Bully and think it's an American Pit Bull..they need to go watch something like "Jumping Dogs: Champion Pit Bull Can Leap Up Four Metre Walls" and see what an American Pit Bull looks like, can do, and is all about. This dog is much too short, bulky, flat faced, and slow to be an American Pit Bull. American Pit Bulls are medium-sized (not small) dogs and are not just about power. The American Pit Bull is lean, longer-legged, tight-skinned, and very compact. It is not buff, short-legged, loose-skinned, or slow. American Pit Bulls can run fast and jump high and have the build for the stamina it needs to keep that up. American Pit Bulls are hardy working dogs that were bred to be all-around farm dogs working the farm as cattle/hog dogs to control, catch, drive, and hunt animals both big (wild pigs, deer, bear, etc.) and small (raccoons, badgers, bobcats, etc.). They need that speed, energy, and stamina as much as they need their strength. And regarding the American Bully breed..I think people should get off of this micro, pocket, and exotic American Bully thing. Not even American Bullies are suppose to be this short, flat faced, or bulky in comparison to their size. Please people..stop producing these short, mutant freaks. Nothing wrong with the regular standard American Bullies.

@@walcaton1221 While I am not really an advocate of cropping ears and believe that dogs should be left in their natural state so that people can see what dogs of certain breeds actually look like (some people may not even be able to recognize a Doberman if they saw one with their ears and tails uncut)..there is one argument I have heard that I can see in favor of cropping ears. It is said that pointed ears are the more natural, species appropriate state for canines that floppier ears. When we look at wolves, coyotes, foxes, etc..all of their ears are pointed. Not only does that probably help them hear better, but it also decreases the likelihood of ear infections compared to dogs that have floppy ears.

I owned a pug for 8 years! He had this exact breathing and had to maintain cool temps to keep that snorkeling down to a minimum. He snored in his sleep too. And the eyes kinda give aways pug mix traits. The whole body looks like a beefed up pug, but pugs get a muscular with active maintenance. These people are screwing up a 1000 yr lineage mixing pugs, cuz thats what i think this is mixed with

patrick, I had pugs. They can breathe just fine (I'm not familiar with the breating problems of Bulldogs or other breeds though), and their faces are about as punched in as it gets! They can play very hard for long periods of time, such as "tug of war". They DON'T like heat though (this is where the problem comes in). I DON'T recommend them if you live in a hot environment such as the South. And they don't drool nearly as bad as Bulldogs. They do tend to have hip problems later in life from jumping on chairs, couches, etc. The first one was very stocky with a barrel chest not too far off the ground & very short legs. He had this problem & had to be euthanized. He was basically dragging his almost useless leg. The last one we had was a very large stocky dog (pure bred, but big-boned), hyper athletic with longer legs. He had NO problem doing anything and always had energy to burn. VERY hardy animal. Inquisitive & audacious. People who own them need to keep them on diets, because they will eat whatever you give them, and have a tendency to put on weight very fast. They are WONDERFUL pets and do well with children. Big dog personality in a small frame package. Friendly, loyal & very dignified. Requires lots of love & affection though and will be your constant companion. You couldn't get a more lovable pet.

the difference is some were bred to be functional in some way and it doesn't necessarily impact their health vs some designer dogs that were bred to basically look weird as fuck. all of those smaller flatfaced breeds that have breathing problems throughout life for example. my neighbor has a english bulldog/pitbull dog (sweetest dog i've ever met) who just about any time he stops you can hear he doesn't breath smoothly.

It is a medium sized dog of between 18-22 inches at the withers for a male and between 35-55 lbs in weight. it should be athletic but not bulky. it should have a SCISSOR BITE not and UNDERSHOT JAW and it should never be Brachycephalic. Brachycephalic dogs are those such as the British bulldog and the pug. This dog is a MONGREL with at least 3 different breeds in it. GO LEARN WHAT A PITBULL IS FOOL.

Thank you, I love this video so much. I’ve had a fear of pits.. uh when I was younger the pit across the street from me actually bit my face when her owner and I were taking her on a walk, I bent down to pet her and she went for me. And ever since she’d jump the fence and chase me if I went outside on my own my mom had to follow me to the bus stop and from the bus stop and anytime I was outside I had to have her there or she’d go for me. And I’ve come a long way, made several pit friends.. I’m still scared at first and anxious as hell but I give them a chance no matter what.. because in the end most of them are sweethearts and just want to give and be given love..

Don’t hate the breed, hate the POS Breeder who breed these dogs knowing they have a ton of health issues and breed them for money anyways. These dogs have many health concerns and due to their un proportional head/body size they require C sections. These C sections are often done by unprofessionals who don’t know what they’re doing and will often drug+ use a pocket knife. If they knew what they were doing, they wouldn’t be breeding dogs with issues.
