@@vavord5181 mainly older models from forever ago and the updated models that eventually replace them, otherwise no actually, not really. It's almost exclusively outsourced to 3rd parties.

The F-4 was actually fairly at dogfighting due almost entirely to the two J-79s. It was actually capable of outfighting the MiG-21, and most combat reports relating to Phantoms meeting Fishbeds in dogfights have the fights going mostly in the F-4's favor until it's time to get a solution with the nonexistent gun lmao Later in its life, well-flown Phantoms could even take on F-15s in dogfights and win.

In an 11.3 or 11.7 to 12.0 bracket the F-20 could be a nice choice. Though, as Nimbal said, the majority of bracket revolutions are including top tier. I will be passing on this plane, and instead fly the Japanese F-5 FCU at 11.3, where it is more competitive and fun. Especially as the vast majority of sim players join on blue side. Also as stated by Nimbal. Forcing many to play what ever is available on the red. Again pushing me towards the FCU. Great video o7 Nimbal!

13:14 The F4, in any kind of version is a Hunter/bomber. Get the guys who are not paying attention. It has good radar, just dont send out signals everytime. If you turn off your radar, and occasionaly turn back your radar, when you suspect contact. Its a good plane. Wait for that RWR, then go look for some boogies.

Thank you someone finally said it. A useless plane irl and even more useless in game. I’m glad it’s at 12.0 because boy do I love absolutely pooping on the delusional f20 fanboys. It’s a cool looking aircraft but for $75 Gaijin needs a good kick in the balls for not making this aircraft a tech tree vehicle.

I might be wrong as I dont play much top tier sim (more high tier, like 11.0 ish), but because furballs quickly develop in sim battles, and as they're usually WVR, I wouldn't like to go vertical in the middle of the map as it'd leave me as a sitting duck, especially to guys coming into the furball. I have several times on the extremeties of the map though.

Ground echo in warthunder is very strong (about 10x real life) so being low makes you effectively immune to radar missiles. Also cause the maps are smaller with everyone thirsting for kills and revealing the location of an enemy is as easy as t42 it's very likely that you get smoked by the 3rd party if you go up.

I think the F-4S PHANTOM II is a much better choice of premium for people looking to get into the US tech tree with a premium grind. The bomb loadouts and universal ground target and bombing capabilities with the addition of 8 AAM's and a fairly dependendable to sit at 11.3 is definitely more forgiving than what the f20 sits against in my opinion. If you appreciate the F4 phantom as more of a technical fighter to utiilze radar and also more of a CAS/Bombing role jet, i think it will be a better choice than the F-20 for a premium.

Im so suprised at just how braindead creators have to be and have been to call the F20 "bad" just because it's 70/75$ instead of 60 XD It's one of the easiest planes to cary teams with and dominate air defense with lmfao By far, the largest coping mechanism I've seen in years 😂 Ngl tho The F20A-4 (unfinished but under construction improved F20 with much higher preformance) should come soon for sure That'd come with 9L/Ms, 7F/Ms, 120As, probably GBUs, etc. . . And that would realistically fit as a dropdown under the F5E! Not like it'd op either lmfao 😂

As someone who also owns the F20 and frequents 12.0 air tournaments, I bought it because I love the aircraft not for grinding but at 12.0 the F16 just does quite literally everything except low speed acceleration better and the drag caused by pulling high AOA in it is so high that it negates that benefit in a low speed turn fight anyway so I'll have to say it's not terrible but compared to what is available at the BR it's pretty mid.

The F-20A-4 will not come. The F-20 is worse than the F-16A.
