I totally appreciate how you handle the Bible verse on the MISTI. I wish stamp manufacturers, retailers, KZbin demonstrators, and everyone else in this business would keep their religious views to themselves. I watch the videos to learn. I do not want to hear about peoples religious preferences or their proselytizing. You handled this very topic very compassionately.

"Yes, I'm a princess." I totally relate. The only item I don't have is the mint tape. I do love the scissors. I saw them on Simon's videos and how he lived them for fussy cutting. He was correct. Huge difference. I still am not a fan of fussy cutting. But many stamps do not come with the matching die. Thank you for the great video. I enjoy all if yours.

I can’t live without a stamping platform, guillotine paper cutter, Spellbinders die cutter, embossing folders, cutting dies, wet/dry glue, glass cutting mat, paper pick, Crystal Katana, and my Teflon bone folder amongst many other things & yes my stacking rectangle, round & square cutting dies. Also my heat gun for my embossing powder, my scoreboard & my Versafine pigment ink, just to name a few.

Thanks for sharing your favorites list. I used to use the Adtech runners, now I use an ATG. I love my spring loaded scissors as well. Regular scissors cramp my hand when I'm doing a lot of cutting. My die cutting machines are a must too. I even love using low tack tape with dies as well. In other words, I use pretty much all of the items you talked about. Thanks again.

As for tape I use both the tombow dotted and regular Tom bow runners. They are refillable and easy to use. For liquid glue I use tombow, both all purpose and clear. I like that the all purpose dries tacky so can be used for applying gilding flakes and glitter.

I have been card making for almost 30 years and never bought a cricket. I currently own 2 Bigshots (regular and super size) 😊 In my early days I started with a spellbinder machine, which broke quickly. Then I bought a 2nd one which also broke. After that I bought a Sizzix big shot. The Sizzix has lasted me for 20 years! I only change the plates and they last a long time too! I bought a 2nd one to have an extra when crafting with a friend or family member, and also to cut bigger dies, or multiples at the same time- but they both still work fine. I am a big fan of Sizzix machines. I think I was scared of the cricut even though both my sisters owned several between them.

I have all of the above (including the Waffle Flower grip mat for my MISTI). I had been using the Tim Holtz glass mat, but recently changed to the white, magnetic mat. I found with the black glass of the Tim Holtz version, I was constantly getting ink and glue where I didn't want it on my projects because I couldn't see them on the black glass. I didn’t buy the magnets that go with the white glass mat, though. I just use the ones from my MISTI. I had wrapped them with patterned duct tape to make them easier to pull off the MISTI. Now they sit at the side of my glass mat and grab onto my scissors and reverse tweezers when I set them down. 😂 My two main die cutting machines are my Spellbinders Platinum 6 and my Gemini Go. I don't have a large enough desk to put my Platinum 6 so I tend to use the Gemini for most of my small die cuts. The Platinum is on the other side of the room with my Glimmer machine and BetterPress platform. For really large die cuts I have a Big Shot Plus. It's stored off to the side because I don't use it very often.

I have a TON of different kinds but they are must haves for me.

Where do you buy your brand of tape runner. I was using two that I won’t name and both dryed (?) and lost adhesion before I could mail out the birthday cards I created. I was super disappointed. The thought of mailing someone cards I hand crafted that then fall apart because of inferior glue is a nightmare for me. For now I’m sticking with liquid glue and double sided tape. 😩

Hi Ralph, great video! I have 2 stamp positioned from Walmart I'm a senior citizen on a small fixed income. I've tried a few tape runners but the tape broke from the dispenser and they weren't refillable, so I couldn't open the case to fix it. I've looked at a lot of them that card designers seem to use, but the cost of them here in Canada is horrendous. I buy rolls of double-sided tape on Amazon. Loving your videos and cards! 😊💗🇨🇦

thank you SO much for mentioning the bit about the misti. i feel like everyone has one, and with the new rose quartz colorway, i was tempted and added it to my holiday wishlist. but...i'm jewish, and that tidbit makes me incredibly uncomfortable, so it's coming back off the list. would love to hear about other stamping platforms and your other recommendations :) thanks, ralph!

Of course! That’s exactly why I mention it. The two others platforms I showed in my video are both great options. If space is a concern I’d go with the stamp wheel. The wheel can be a little awkward at first but you get used to it. If you like the ease of a hinge (like the MISTI) and don’t mind the size then go for the Sizzix one!

Absolutely agree with the Adtech tape runner being the best-I’ve been making cards for years and I have tried Many tape runners as well. My favorite die brand is Spellbinders. Well done, Ralph!! 👏🏻♥️ Your list is quite close to mine, but because I'm an invalid and craft in my bed, my changes are more relative to organising. Instead of your scissors, it's the "pokie tool" or "pick and stick" or "pierce and place" or whatever the assorted companies call them. I have three different ones and use them all! ❇️ I had to swap the Mint tape with the EasySee tape because my Gemini Jr. pressure seals the Mint tape right to my paper. 😩 Oh and I have a magnetic telescoping wand tool for retrieving the dies I drop continually. 😊 p.s. Your tiny craft room is heaps bigger than mine! 😜

I use my ATG gun more than glue. If it's small and intricate dies then I use glue, but I use the ATG otherwise. I buy the tape in bulk. I definitely use tape on acetate and velum - glue on acetate spreads and takes a while to dry. I've had vellum warp from glue, so I always use tape.

Paper! Can't craft anything without paper! Can't use anything 😂!! I don't mean anything of great depth, yet a basic, light description. It would be interesting what you think is great quality to work with until you find the need for special paper to complete a project. And trimmers! I think I have nearly everyone there is. I agree with most of your list but the spring assist scissors are a no go. I bought a pair after I saw Simon Hurley recommend them. I find that I have to use a LOT of hand strength to close them so the fact that they open automatically is negated. Your craft room is really, suspiciously clean. Is it always that way or just when you are taping a video? LOL

Great Video. I have a random question. What is the font that is on your screen behind you that says your name. I love that font but have no idea what it is called......can you help with that?

Hi Valerie! This is a completely custom hand-drawn logo, so unfortunately it's not actually a font that can be shared.

Ralph would you say it’s safe to buy these products off of the A company and we’re still getting an original product? The Misti you mentioned in this video is the same size one as the one you listed in the items section, correct?

I used AdTec on my scrapbooks and years later the glue from the tape dried out and all my images (hours of work) were wasted when all of the images fell off the pages. I would not recommend AdTec to anyone. Just sayin, love your other picks though.

I too am limited on space. A lot of times I'll actually pull out my tiny Sizzix Sidekick machine for small jobs.

How do you find dies the same shape as the stamps? Like the shark ones.

There are coordinating die sets for a lot of stamp sets.

@@melanieahrens6739 thanks for replying 😊. I actually don't know much about die cutting. I'm fairly new to art journaling and I only have a couple of stencils and regular stamps lol.

@@CrisOnTheInternet Once you get into die cutting, check out all the options before making a purchase. Dies are fairly expensive and so are die cutting machines. If you don’t have arthritis or other hand issues, it might be worth it to get some of Ralph’s sharp scissors and try fussy cutting for awhile.

@@melanieahrens6739 thanks for the advice, you're very kind. I actually bought stuff for several crafts so I don't think I'll make any purchase soon 😅.
