Head turning looks, 0-60 in under 4 seconds, 12 second 1/4 mile or less, v6 and up, uncommon to see on the road

I agree with the previous comment except for the old supercars like a miura for example. In the 60s a sub 5 second 0-60 was insane. I think despite not being the fastest today, slower than many sport cars in fact it still deserves the title.

@@LibertyDrives for sure, technically advances so cars should be based upon the technology of their time. That’s how I see it at least, there’s to many factors too distinguish different levels/ classes of vehicles. Some people think the base model ford probe automatic is a sport car with a 10.5 second 0-60. I sure as hell don’t but I’m not gonna waste my time arguing over it. There’s too many variables.

I say the F-Type SVR deserves to be here, I see them for $77k to $105k max in the tri-state area. Brilliant cars all around, they sound great, look great, have nice looking interiors, and 580 horsepower is nothing to scoff at.

I love the Vantage and it may be on the list of inexpensive although the cost of maintenance takes it off the list for me. Stick with the C7 or the GTR for more reliability.

Tbh the cars on the list aren’t too impressive to me. I’d stick with the honorable mentions of the Viper and C7. Also, interesting to see base Gen V Vipers increase in value by around 15% in the last month or so. I hope I can buy one eventually, but at this rate idk. 😭

They definitely don't have the same power and performance as the muscle cars I usually talk about. Personally I don't think I'd ever buy one of these cause I'd have a C7 (maybe Z06) until I had enough for a 570 or Huracan and then I'd grab one of those. The Vipers are also incredible though, I love em too. Used car prices overall are up about 20% since last year

@@annenominous7220 Absolutely, thank you! If costs were the same, I'd take a V10 any day, but I was watching V8 R8 reviews recently (for no reason lol) and the V8s that I saw sounded really awesome too

Yeah The GTR and AMG GT are going to be the reliable ones I'm going to choose the Benz Simply because the interior is better and it have a BiTurbo V8. There's something special about those AMG V8 sound that I can't get rid of.

You can’t go wrong with a 4.3 or 4.7 V8 vantage. Great looks, great sound and great interior. You may feel like the early 4.3 is sluggish at the low end, and it probably is but just take that as it being more dailyable. But like 911, if you get it going, it makes an absolutely amazing sound past 3500 rpm. The gearbox isn’t amazing nor is the suspension but it is worth the compromise considering what you get for the money. Especially the gearbox issue is made redundant if you get the manuals, though they are slightly more expensive. If the Aston isn’t your cup of tea, I’d also recommend a 993 or 997 911 GT3, though they are scarce and are quickly snapped up. You can’t go wrong with a C7 Zo6 too.

400-500 HP, I don’t know what 2 seats has to do with anything being a super car and the body has to be made out of 100% carbon fiber. ALSO, there’s plenty of Lambo’s, Ferrari’s etc that 0-60 is 4.2 and quarter mile time is 12 seconds. ALSOOO, you don’t consider the Viper to be a Super car it doesn’t have a mid engine… the Ferrari California doesn’t have mid engine. Sorry, I just think that list is terrible I can’t help it.

I suppose if you use the loosest possible definition of "supercar" the Maserati and Astons count. Those are technically more GTs. I wouldn't throw them on the same list as I would an R8 or 360. They may have the rarity and looks factor, but they're a bit too heavy and practical to slot into supercar status I think. Not to put down my own GranTurismo Sport, but if you've ever driven one, it feels a bit too barge-like to be a street-melting corner-carver.

I've heard their specs aren't as great compared to other cars that were at their original pricepoints. I still LOVE them though and I've got a sweet spot for em cause of a memory of finding a straightpiped one on my way to my first big car meet
