That’s partially the point- they don’t care about reliance or silly things like “collateral damage”. The machine of war is the “they” in this case. Metal gear is very much partially about how war treats soldiers like disposable weapons. In the case of the beauty and the beast unit, it didn’t matter how many civilians they killed if they hit the enemy a bit.

Fam. You're forgetting that her psychic gift meant that she was aware of everything and could see everything. But was in a body prison that was unable to act upon it. As was seen how her "Comatose Body" not only saw her giving birth, but the baby being taken away, while she screamed to get her baby back but no one could hear her. Then you have to add into the fact that all her future baby clones, are psychically connected to her, so she's also aware of all the 5h1t done to her children, to make them super soldiers. How is that lucky? At least Lisa Trevor could vocalize her horrors to everyone who could hear her, and could move her body some what. That's much less horrible than being trapped in a body that is aware of, and can psychically see everything, but unable to do anything about it.

Except for a few like "Les Enfants Terribles", Most of them aren't really central to the overall plot. It's just a special eltie team of soldiers with special abilities that you face off against as Bosses. Metal gear is political-military surrealism sci-fi (which is apart of the appeal) like X-men so It's going to fabricate a lot of strange over the top characters so it can add to the surrealism to the over all world.

Ever heard of Warframe? The Tenno, the player characters, are actually teenagers that were involved in a failed warp jump of sorts that transported the colonization spaceship they were on to an extradimensional place called the Void, which gave them superpowers. It also drove their parents insane, forcing those kids to kill their own families to survive. Later they were recovered by the Orokin, an advanced civilization of humans they were a part of. An empire whose leaders proceeded to shut down the project meant to heal the traumatized kids, executed their surrogate mother leading the project for daring to speak out against it, created conduit bodies for them to control and channel their powers through (the titular Warframes), and essentially made them into child supersoldiers while literally demonizing them in their society. The Warframes themselves aren't much better. They are an initially failed supersoldier project where the best soldiers the Orokin had were forcefully injected with a special strain of the Technocyte Virus (essentially the Flood from Halo) that painfully and slowly transformed them into the Warframes. After which they were literally tortured into obedience.

Heres an incredibly dodgy super soldier project. The Claymores from Claymore. Basically, they're implanted with the flesh and blood of man eating monsters in order to become strong and fast enough to fight said man eating monsters. Unfortunately, over time, the monster side gets stronger and eventually takes over, turning them into the very thing they hunt. And the best part? The Organisation responsible for the creation of Claymores is also responsible for the Yoma they hunt! Dicks.

Sigart Sephiroth,angeal and genesis were the only ones in soldier who were born using jenova cells Then theres the failed clones. Everyone else was augmented using mako assuming the augmentation didnt kill them via mako poisoning. Only other person i know who was altered by jenova cells was vincent sometime before sephiroth was born, then made immortal by hojo when he further experimented on him after seph was born.

Well, if you can call this intelligence. I mean, it did work out relatively well for the Lieutenant and Marcus, but most of the others... And it's arguable whether they actually get to keep their personality or not. My Fallout lore is a bit rusty, but in most cases, and even in those where the process doesn't impair your intelligence, I'd say it still does things to your brain. Does Marcus even remember his past before he became a mutant? And does your character even do in the first Fallout's bad ending? I dunno. What about Frank Horrigan, though? He's got no personality except for his blind devotion to the Enclave and, ironically, his equally blind hatred of mutants.

Seriously though Cerberus has done so much crazy super soldier crap. They turned Jack into a super powerful psycho biotic. If you ignore one of the quests in Mass effect 3. They turn her into one the phantoms. The assault troops look like reaper husks. Not to mention Paul Grayson one of their first experiments with reaper tech. You could even argue that Shepard Is a super soldier. After all the cybernetic used to put Shepard back together. What a insane group.

One way, like I mentioned above, is the Clans' eugenics program from BattleTech. Take the best warriors of each generation, genetically enhance them to bring out the desired traits (eye-hand coordination and reflexes for mech and fighter pilots; strength, stamina, and damage resistance for armored infantry), use artificial womb and cloning techniques to create large numbers of elite troops, and then put them through a serious training program that only retains the top 5%-10% and reassigns anyone who fails into a different caste so they can still serve their Clan. Repeat for over 200 years until you get a superior fighting force. (Yes, I know the Clans ultimately lost to the Inner Sphere, but only because they hamstrung themselves by adhering to an antiquated code of honor that hobbled their fighting abilities. Clans Wolf and Nova Cat, once they threw their silly rules of warfare aside, kicked IS butt!)

The necrons wanted immortality and indestructibility, so the entire race was forced to have their souls torn out, their skin flayed and cooked, and their consciousness bound to the necrodermis. And the entire tyrinid race is one big super soldier distruct button of the old ones, assuming they were the ones to do that.

Even though they didn't start out in gaming, the adeptus astartes aka the space marines from warhammer 40k are a pretty massive chore to make. Not only do they push each initiate to their physical limits, with many recruits not even surviving that process, they also implant extra organs and cybernetic enhancements into your body, with such lovely additions as an extra heart, stomach, kidney, and an implant that allows you to control what parts of your brain are active. Bonus points for the implant that allows you to spit poisonous blood.

The program in Wolfenstein that was just mentioned was actually meant to create “the machine men.” The SuperSoltendans were more likely people that were taken from the mental hospital just down the Baltic coast where you end up in Chapter 2, taken to the lunar base to get them into the ideal shape and mindset for them, and then returned to Earth to work for the Nazis.

I'd also consider Big Daddies, from Bioshock, super soldiers. I've heard that a lot of people think that they're robots, but in diagrams and in recordings you learn that they're actually men. They have had their skin replaced with the suit and their bodies broken, and their minds shattered and rebuilt to protect Little Sisters and nothing else.

The soldiers are willing volunteers though, and their out-of-combat rigs are designed with the aim of being suitable for civilian life. So it's not pure ethical, but it's basically as ethical as you can get in the situation.

I'm actually pursuing a doctorate in genetics, and nothing would make me happier than coming up with a way to turn humans into super humans. My experiments go quite well, but so far I can't get anyone to authorize human experimentation...i'd do it on myself, but I've seen enough sci-fi/horror/comic book movies to know that is probably a bad idea...knowing my luck, that would be the time when the lab is struck by lighting from the norse gods, bombarded with cosmic radiation, and revealed that there was an infinity stone under the lab for the past 100000 years...yea, and that is why I don't do self experimentation.

judging by that Cut scene where Victoria is being ambushed, She fights in a mannerism that is based on reflex. more than likely it was meant to be honed even further through extensive training and maybe even the removal of her emotional responses. that would have been absolutely terrifying. as just watching her fight in a panicked state is truly frightening as to how effective her defenses really are. she even conserves ammunition on instinct. meaning that she can more than likely adapt to any of the many weapons she might encounter in her missions.

How to make 40k super soldiers: Kidnap or otherwise acquire children Start injecting them with superhuman DNA so that they grow extra hearts, lungs, and some wired organs that let you spit acid. These implants are put in over years and are life threatening in many cases. A healthy dose of Indoctrination for good measure. Bonus points for the chapters which do crazier things like the space wolf chapter for example, who have an initiation ritual with a risk of turning the initiate into an uncontrollable werewolf.
