I love how you kindly explain how to not to restrict yourself from eating what you like but as you mentioned in a prior video: let's honor the "feeling of I've had enough" by having a balanced diet and leaving a small space for sweets.

When I started cooking for myself for the first time, I downloaded a calorie counting app that also told me how much calorie I was supposed to eat every day based on my height and weight. I was basically only eating the "healthy" side that she is talking about, eating 3 meals a day, sometimes with snacks, and yet I was still BELOW my daily goals!! It was great experience, honestly. I would recommend it to anyone to try for just a week/month or so bc it was a great learning experience. I personally stopped after a couple weeks bc I knew what I wanted to know about my diet from then on. You totally DON'T need to do this for a long time to get valuable takeaways from it!

Love the channel and all your shorts. Keep up the good work! I 100% agree with the “80/20” rule. I think there’s a more comprehensive rule that can really make weight loss/ body recomposition more accessible. I call it a progressive diet. Basically whatever you eat in a week track that and slowly increase the portion of your calories that come from whole foods. If you’re doing “50/50” then you will make progress next week by doing “55/45” and work your way up to “80/20” and if your goals are still not reached after that you can always keep going! Doing this in addition to adding cardio has helped me to look like a bodybuilder and feel great doing it! Btw add some protein to that stack of whole foods!!!!

I use to have an issue with never ending hunger and BED which I atill struggle with. I use to live on low calorie foods to stay within my caloric range. Now that I am eating real food, such aswhole grain bread thats 120 calories vs white bread with 35 calories and 16 grams of fiber... I don't feel like I'm starving all the time. I increased my calories significantly by switching to real food full of nutrients and find that my appetite is a lot more stable. I thought I cracked the code on weight loss and maintenance along time ago but I am still learning.

Sidenote, when I was watching my protein and all my macros and I was eating nutrient dense, I could barely manage getting to 1100 cal because the food was so nutrient dense and I was so full so I just don’t believe our government’s food pyramid, calorie needs at all!!

I'm no expert but I tried the intermittent fasting and couldn't stay with it. My best results come from 3 smaller meals 300-500 calories, a good dinner, and a small snack 2 hours before bed time.
@sib54648 күн бұрын
Intermitted fasting is very healty but 20/4 is not good. Try max 16/8 or 14/10. And eat More! Eat more veggies. Drink enough. Eat enough protein which goes by 1 gramn per 1kg of you normal weight for your size. So if your regular weight would be 68 h Kilos your body needs 68 to 79 grams of protein. Eat chicken breast, salmon or eggs (nit mire than 5 per week). Shrimps with eggs is good as shrimps have high protein little fat. So this enables you of having 2 table spoons f quality oils to support your omega-3 and omega-6 essentual acid intake. Canola oil, linseed oil or cold pressed olive oil are the best.

If you don't do sports it is way less. At least for me. As it totally depends on your age. A woman of 50 already needs 500kcal less than a 25 year old woman. Mine to domply keep my weight is 1500-1600. If I want to lose weight I cannot eat more that 1050kcal. I eat every day a protein bar with maltitol chocolate, no sugar. But tastes like real milk chocolate. Rest is a 'ton' of veggies ala at least 5 or 6 different vegetables plus 65-70 grams of protein as in fish, chicken, tofu or seafood. If I get hungry I eat some raw veggies with a little salt as a chips replacement. Watch out to get apor. 2 table spoons of high quality oils like canola or olive oil. Lost 33 kilos up to now in last 9 months

It’s likely due to either genetics, a high metabolism or a healthy diet. My in laws have a terrible diet with frequent takeout, huge frequent meal that I could never imagine finishing even as someone who binge eats, high amounts of sugar, fried foods and candy. They typically hate and refuse to excercise and yet remain super thin. I on the other hand eat way healthier, although still far from consistently healthy. Much smaller portions usually, far less takeout, less sugar, despite my sweet addiction, and excercise more than most, but not all of my in laws, and yet Ive got a noticeable round belly that wants to stay BFF’s

Honestly I really doubt that. Especially if you can cook. In my opinion people confuse taste with hyperpalatability (a sensation of wanting more). Similar to addiction. You probably like the sugar and fat in the chocolate not the chocolate taste itself (otherwise people would be all over unsweetened chocolate without an additional fat source). And the sugar and fat does not really add anything special to the taste. It just adds palatability.

I did almost a reverse of this when trying to gain weight(Stress not eating lead to me being a bit underweight, ooops) Added more milk and cheese and oils to my diet because i was having a hard time eating enough food. Honestly milk was great for when i really didn't want to eat but knew i needed to eat. And oils also help bind to nutrients in food so your body can actually process them!!!
