I'm upgrading my stereo in the 69 this month, it only turns on when I floor it, but hopefully I can coble something together better then I have now. Gkad I'm not the only one amazed by cousin Eddie repairs.

Mine has such an odd hole, it would have expensive to replace. Glad Frankie got An updated e. He’s coming along.

Yes he is. Yesterday I put about 100 miles on it. Found a weird issue with the PCV hose leaking oil though.... other than that, it was a huge success. Got it out on I-80 up to 85 mph cruising, and it's smooth as silk! Thanks for the support, Greg!

Thank you. It turned into a much bigger problem. Every time I removed a part or panel, I was greeted with more. 😅

@@89G I hear you, these wire harnesses have gone through hell. Mine is just as bad as yours 😂

@@javiermiranda1751 I bought my 89 in 1995, and it had already been hacked up at only 6 years old. I need to go back through it when I do the carpet and make it even better. I found some new stock replacement stereo plugs, which were an arm and a leg from the dealer in 95, so I just wired some of it direct. I want to make it right though!

Hay Bud you had the same fun with your center console like I did when someone glued it and the screws to the dash! Still looking for that part!

That sounds like something I'd run in to on this car. I actually keep "crediting" the previous owner with a lot of these fails, but I actually believe it was the person that owned it before him. Or, maybe he was just passing the buck on some of the other "fine details" that I did notice prior to purchase. But hey... he did sell it to me for 500 dollars because he wanted to see it live again.

forgot too say that i think i had that jvc stereo back in the day.

I've had a couple JVC's in my day. A couple Sony's too. For car audio, Pioneer is my go to now. I've had way better luck with them.

Last time I installed a radio in my fox was 20+ years ago and ended up having to take it to my buddy he worked at Circuit City lol
