thank you Sir this was a great relief. Bought the car at auction and only got one key! For anyone who doesn't have Forscan yet, get it!

Good evening sir. Your video was perfect timing. I have a 2013 Ford F150 I bought used. I to added a remote start that came with two keys. I was able to program the first key (Key+fob) and the second key would only start the vehicle. I found out I reached the limit of programmed keys. I wasn't sure you could erase and reprogram the original key until I watched your video. Thank you! Thank you!. Also, you instructions on each step to set up forscan plus programming the fob was excellent. Again, Thank you!

@@89G You're welcome sir. One question, I have the free 2 month trial of Forscan. If I go to settings - MS-Can Support to make sure it is set to "HS/MS switch" will this work for me with the free trial?
@89G23 күн бұрын
@@user-Mark_Anthony Yes... if the PATS shows up on your screen as an option, it will work. Forscan doesn't give the option if it won't do it. Hopefully that answers your question?

Now I watched your video and I noticed you did this with a certain type of Scan tool one thing I didn't catch do I need the exact scan tool that You used an order to program my key or Will a regular Bluetooth ODB tool like I have already work the same?. For instance, I'm using veepeak. I am under the impression based on what you're saying is you need a device that is capable of doing ms/hs can function Or it will not work or you will not see the option for pats. From what I can tell the Bluetooth device I have does not have hs/ms can functionality
@89G10 күн бұрын
If you can see the PATS function with your adapter, it will work. If not, I put a link to the VGate Vlinker adapter in the video description. There is a short list of "verified" adapters, and the VGate is on that list of FORScan friendly adapters. It's also the most cost effective option that will auto switch MS/HS. Thanks for your question! Hopefully that answered it.... if not, let me know.

@89G yep! Yep I appreciate it. I ordered it. The one I seen just to be safe Now if only the set of keys I bought aren't damaged. Went to a regular hardware store. They charged me $2. They cut whatever key I brang into them no problem

Ah, great video! My FIL has been fighting with the PATS in his plow truck. This looks exactly like what he needs (or by extension I need). Looking forward to the remote start video. Hope you and the fam have a Happy New Year!

@89G does forscan give you some of the instructions on the amount of time and what to do with the key when you put it in the ignition
@TechGorilla.2 күн бұрын
hi I didn't see you program the key or this is all you have to do❓
@89G2 күн бұрын
I am assuming that you mean for the buttons? If so, go to 11:03 in this video. Otherwise, the PATS procedure in FORScan does program the key to your vehicle. Thanks!
