I like the sound of the Mac mufflers, the car truly sounds gooood! But I'm bias, I have Mac mufflers with turn downs...

I give them my thumbs up too. One thing I will say though, my MAC's drone more than the Flowmonsters. But the MAC's sound more "racecar" to me.

I think Frankie has the edge and it might be because it has a cam in it to give it the edge but the other one sounds good to but frankie has that extra bit of rough rumble that I like. Frankie doesn't want near any salt either because he is a cool looking car as well and doesn't want to be fed to the salty termites 😝😜🚗💨

Thank you. The cam definitely helps the rumble! Once I get through the body work and paint, Frankie won't touch salt either. It went for a drive after the video yesterday... my Wife drove it for the first time. I think she liked it. 👍

Yeah you for sure don't want to do all of that body work and the termites take over it .That is going to be a nice car when you get it done which it's a nice car to me now

@@79beans347 to be honest, I am partial to The Eight Nine. I like the X pipe over the H pipe. The Wife might be able to help me get both of them to a car show now... just thought about that, lol.

@@89G oh yeah if it is between the H pipe or x pipe Im going x pipe all day. That is what I have on my car a X pipe. Yeah that would be cool to be able to take both cars to the car shows and yall could even have a friendly lil race on the way 😜 but Don't know how long it will take for it to become competitive and you both will catch one another in the garage doing things to the car to get the edge over the other one 🤣😂 that would be funny if it did happen 🤪

I like Frankie’s better only because it has that V8 burble. He just sounds meaner. That’s just my opinion and the kid of set up I have on mine.

It definitely has an edge with the cam. It will be even more aggressive when the 351 gets in there... it has a Comp Cams XE274HR cam in it.

Hard to choose. Mac and the old 2 chamber Flowmaster (Flowmonster) both sound great, but the old 2 chamber flowmaster sound does it for me. Too bad Mac went out of business and the flowpath mufflers are no longer available. Hopefully a company will redistribute the Mac mufflers under a new name. They would sell quite well.

Yeah, it would sound really good! I tried to find MAC's for Frankie, but kept coming up empty. The MAC's sound great with an X pipe. Reminds me of the MAC Flow Chamber.

It's very close, but I think I like the sound of the '89 with the X pipe. My '91 has the same H pipe exhaust, F303, BBK etc as Franki though.

I like them both too... in fact, every time that I drive one of them, I think "I like this one best". LOL. Hard to explain, I suppose. But I do like both of them a lot.

They both sound great. I give a slight edge to 89. It sounds like the difference is mostly "X" pipe and "H" pipe. BTW, good luck with the upper intake! Sorry I cannot help you with that.

I'm gonna say Frankie, both sounded awesome though! I put the Trick flow stage 1 in my car and I wished I would've went with an E cam or a B cam! The chop on the trick flow doesn't really do it for me!

@@89G it's a work in progress, lol I've got new carpet, new weatherstripping, GT seats, im re spraying all the interior now and that SEM trim paint makes it look brand new! I'm new to the channel but enjoy the videos, keep em coming!

@@89G you can get it through LMR but I went to a local paint shop and he ordered it for me, the black is Landau black and the gray is Presidio. It's pretty close to the factory gray

@@sickwidit49 between those two, the B. I only used the E because I got it for a steal. I think I paid 125 for it. I have a stage 4 Comp Cams XE274HR in the 351 that is going in Frankie.

It has an Explorer GT40 style lower, and the upper is a Downs Ford breadbox. They were made by Cartech for Downs Ford.

@@stang1892 some slight pulls mixed in various videos. I'll be doing more soon. Unfortunately the track we had got shut down a couple years ago (they sold the property) and the only thing we have currently is roll racing. I may go do that this summer.

The Eight Nine (white) has the Downs Ford/Explorer intake, 73mm MAF, 65mm TB, 24 lb. injectors, 93 Cobra roller rockers, King Cobra clutch, Hurst shifter, O/R X-pipe, MAC Flow Paths, FMS aluminum driveshaft, 3.55 FMS gears. Probably some other stuff I'm not remembering too, lol.

Frankie (pick a color) is an 88 with a an Explorer intake, 70mm MAF, 65mm TB, GT40P heads, E303 cam, O/R H-pipe, Aerostar aluminum driveshaft, Hurst shifter, and Flowmonster mufflers. It will soon have a 351 and 3.31 gears. Oh.... both cars have upgraded T5's as well with carbon fiber synchros.
