Brilliant cast. Eamon Farren is a greatly under-appreciated actor. If he keeps being cast, he's going to be a star.

Such a wonderful cast ! John Malkovich doing an amazing job as always I don’t need to even comment on that, so fun to finally see Rupert Grint in a new role after knowing him for years as Ron Weasley, Eamon Farren doing such a fantastic and brilliant job as a character with mental problems (as always, poor guy can’t never play a simple normal man) I’m hoping to see him more in other roles, and all the others just being as good. Honestly, this was just so good, really an amazing casting.

I haven't seen this yet, but there's at least 6 *Bradford* locations used in the show. *Peaky Blinders* fans (as well as fans of at least 100 other films and TV shows) will be familiar with a few of them. 1 - *Bradford City Hall* upstairs = *Scotland Yard* in The ABC Murders, and *The Birmingham Midland Hotel* 2 - *Bradford City Hall* downstairs aka *Bradford Police Museum* = Most likely also *Scotland Yard* in The ABC Murders, as it was used as the prison cells in Peaky Blinders. 3 - Warehouse between *Cater Street* and *Hick Street* in *Little Germany, Bradford* as well as other areas of *Little Germany* = Unknown location in The ABC Murders, and *Tommy's Factory* in Peaky Blinders. 4 - The village of *Saltaire* in *Bradford* = *Albert Terrace, Victoria Road* and the real life *Salts Mill* double for areas of *Andover* in The ABC Murders, and *Salts Mill* again can be see a few times where Ada and Freddie are usually hanging about near a canal and a bridge in Peaky Blinders. 5 - *The Bradford Club* aka *The Bradford Gentleman's Club* = Unknown location in The ABC Murders, and an unknown location in Peaky Blinders as I've never been inside it before, and can't tell what it was used for by looking at pictures. 6 - *Keighley Railway Station* in *Keighley, Bradford* = *King's Cross Station* and/or *Cheltenham Spa Railway Station* in The ABC Murders, and a Birmingham based station in Peaky Blinders.

I Loved the entire production. I saw it on Amazon Prime a few weeks ago. I was totally engaged and drawn into it. Anya Chalotra of “The Witcher” was the reason why I wanted to see it. She had limited scenes, but her great acting and body language totally conveyed her character. I did not know it had so many top quality Actors. When it was over I wished there were more murders to solve, that doesn’t sound so nice does it?

Im a fan of the Witcher and I agree it’s sad we didn’t see Anya more, but I was more than happy to see Eamon in a main character after Cahir. God this guy scare the living sh1t outta me on screen while he’s in reality such a kind and smiling person 😂

First I hessitate to go and watch John Malkovich as Poirot, but the way he portrayd our famous belgian detective was superb. Intense as always, without overdoing it he managed to get my attention because of course, he is an excelent actor. Not so much hampered with the otherwise normal mannerisms of Poirot, he got me into his psyche. The story was so well written and each character was full in all humanly good and bad, that my emotions were grabbed into watching all episodes at once. It irritates me , in hindsight, that I did not figuered out the story as to who done it. But what stuck with me , was this "evil in the dark"..feel that Agatha Christy would implement in her stories. And the tragic traumatic background story of the life of Poirot in Belgium. Thx to everybody involved in the production of ABC murders!!

Impressions: This was interesting as a crime drama, even though it did not feel like Poirot. And yeah it goes without saying that David Suchet is the best Poirot! Malkovich wasn't too bad though,

This is one of the best renditions of The ABC Murders, no more tongue and cheek but a really dark depraved interpretation of Christie's novel. John Malkovich was fantastic in this role and I am glad he did not try to copy Sachet's version of this character. He is without a doubt a premier actor. i questioned the time period because in the Sachet Poirot- Poirot was still working full time in 1937. but writers can take liberties when rearranging the story. I hope to see more of Malkovich in the newer versions of Poirot . I tend to gravitate to dark depraved stories with interesting plots and evil greedy and depraved people. My kind of story.

A masterpiece even tho I had a rather different opinion when watching episode one. But glad that I stayed with the show past it. The acting was sublime and the plot and the way it was played out and revealed to us were magnificent! And needless, Malkovich's Poirot was nothing like any Poirots that we were treated to in the past.

Even though John Malkovich is a great actor, he just isn`t Poirot for me. David Suchet is and will be. I kind of don`t like his white beard, in the last Poirot book, Curtain: Poirot`s Last Case, he still dyed mustache black till the end.

Loved this adaptation, despite its many changes and confirmations of things that were previously just hinted at. Great job to all the cast... IDK why everyone was so pernickety about John's accent... I thought it was fine. An accent will be influenced after all if one is in a certain environment long enough. I also liked the romantic connection and I was really hoping I'd get to see more it... perhaps on a DVD copy with deleted scenes! The 1930's does age everyone a little bit though I think, well at least the women. Not really so much the men. Clever weaving of made-up elements into it too. But at times, the script could be a little absurd. But in the circumstances, I bet it couldn't have been too far fetched from the truth.

I'm really looking foward to this, despite some changes. The recent Christie adaptations from the BBC are so magnificent and they explore a side of Christie's books, that many don't usually explore. I have hopes that these wonderful will do excellent job. I gladly welcome Malkovich's Poirot with open arms!
@HARRY-hp8zc6 жыл бұрын
Doctor_John 11 strongly disagree. Why change something that is already practically perfect? I’m sure if Agatha was alive she would not be very approving of these adaptions. The fact they alter the storyline so severely and dramatise her books to the point most of it is filler says all. I think she would’ve respected Suchets performances as they stuck to the originals, but these mini series like and then there were none are terrible imo.
@johndeco6 жыл бұрын
H A R R Y I do agree that I would prefer a faithful adaptation. Just like the 1974 film of Orient Express . But Phelps is obviously focusing on making an adaptation that should be enjoyed for what it is. I mean the 1971 Willy Wonka film was beloved by many despite not being faithful in scenes. If I judged this to the book, yes, it does fail as an adaptation (like Ustinov’s Poirot movies that were set in modern day). But as a show itself, I find it pretty good. And while Suchet is pretty much the Poirot, his Labours of Hercules and Big Four adaptations were certainly not the most faithful and most beloved. And I’m pretty sure the ATTWN from 2015 is pretty faithful

Quite right Doctor_John 11... so nice to hear from an open-minded individual for once! Vive la difference! Was getting rather fed up with the quaint, sugar-coated versions of Agatha Christie that we've been fobbed off with previously. A bit of real-life (and death) wouldn't go amiss. After all, murder is meant to be a gruesome business, isn't it? Or would we rather fool ourselves into thinking it's something squeezed in between village hall sub-committee meetings? Looking forward to the final episode tonight I must say!

It was total abomination. It totally lacked the spirit of the book and he didn't act or look like Poirot. It was the worst portrayal of Poirot I've ever seen. I turned it off way before the end of the first episode.
