@@gemnet7604 I mean I can say the same thing to you and say many have been kidnapped you just can’t trust humanity not then and not now. I’m of a different mindset I would never leave my five and eight-year-old girls with their 12 and 13-year-old brothers running around in an open public area while I go check out my friends home and then stop in a pub to have a drink. Children that are 12 and 13 often times get caught up doing their own thing and I just wouldn’t trust their lives in a strange place for them to handle. That’s just me.
@itsjenniex2 жыл бұрын
@@AllHailKingRose I share the same opinion. Unless one of the children is of age and knows how to take care of younger kids I would NEVER let them watch my child. That's when granny or aunty will have to come and take care of them for me if I really want to go out and have fun. I'm not saying that children that age are irresponsible but thats too much for them to handle (unless they are alone and I would go out doing a quick grocery shopping stroll, telling them not to open the door to anyone)

Just to answer a couple of comments I’ve noticed. Like I saw somebody ask why they didn’t ask Lee to identify the man in the van. As it happens, Lee DID take part in an identity parade but couldn’t identify the killer as he has changed his appearance. To the low minded individuals who blame the parents - the field that Sarah and her siblings were playing in, their Grandparents house actually backed onto it. Their Grandmother was in the house at all times. So at no point we’re the Children ever really left alone. They were more or less in their own back yard, seconds from safety. Nobody could ever have predicted this.
@charleenlangley87095 жыл бұрын
Also, at age 13, you are old enough to babysit, at least here in England, so long as the kid is a relative and the parents are not far away and won't be gone long. In most common cases, this is when a parent needs to pop into a shop for say milk, or into a school to pick up a kid, but these kid's grandpa just wanted to show their parents his mates house and then get a drink. That's still reasonable, plus they were close to the house their grandma was in, and, on top of that, the two boys were 13 and 12/11, so they pretty much had two legible babysitters.

That's so unfair! Where I live, there are, unfortunately, a lot of memorials near roads, rural AND urban (side walks, bike trails, all very visible from cars and people) and they always remain untouched, aside from flowers and such being placed out of respect. I wished there could've been more for her memorial there.

A young teenage girl died off of a cliff in Donegal and while we were driving there to go hiking there were a lot of teddy bears strapped below the signs (so they were still visible) at first we thought it was creepy (we didnt know the full story) but after we found out what happened we were heartbroken
@mariannalucas80223 жыл бұрын
In WV we can have crosses where they were found or as memorial but we can’t have like those little battery operated tea lights, big bright flowers, stuffed animals and such because people will look and study while driving and go into the other lane by being distracted. Which in my opinion its the drivers fault for not just glancing or pulling off and looking at it face to face.

Predators deserve at least a life sentence. It has been proven so many times that they don't change. They get off way too easily. Also, this might seem harsh to some people, but I think predators that kidnap, rape, and murder a child should get death.
@miyo212 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. Normally I'd be against death, but not for those people that hurt children.
@nickeynouse60932 жыл бұрын
Rapists of all sorts get off so easy it's disgusting. Like all those college boys who play ball and get off with community service bc of their "futures". Child rapists are even worse. It's strange how everyone seems to agree pedos and rapista deserve life or the death penalty, but they get off the easiest
@starr28702 жыл бұрын
the thing is if they knew that the neighbour was a pedophile why didn’t they immediately check it was him? especially the police who were watching him . was a bit confused by that bit

the thumbnail was horrifying. i was dreading even clicking on this video. after the video i took it upon myself to look up 'Roy Whiting" and i was scared tbh to see the pictures. i tried to hide half my screen so i would only see some of his face and the first picture to pop up was of course the one in the picture and it gave me chills. this man deserved what the inmates did to him in prison, absolutely sickening.

But this tragedy helped bring out a very important law that should have always been around anyways!

Sara is a superhero. Sarah's Law will save a lot of children. I still say that child rapists/pedos are completely irredeemable. They cannot be rehabilitated and should be locked away from society the FIRST time they're caught. So very heartbreaking that this does indeed keep happening!

PAUSE @ 0:45 because THE REASON ABDUCTIONS ARE PUT ALL OVER THE NEWS IS NOT BECAUSE OF SHOCK VALUE There are several reasons: 1. So the person who was abducted may see themselves on the news and realize people are looking for them 2. So that the maximum number of people can see the face of the missing person in case they were to run into them out in the open
