because Marina Abramovic had some weird occult stuff going on in her performances, she was laying inside a star or her burning hair and there were goat-like bloody skulls involved and other stuff. She is really weird and suspicious if you research. I think it's pretty obvious her methods involve occultism. Even besides that, as a whole this "art" and "method" seems very odd and weird. Plus, Lady Gaga has been accused in worshipping devil due to some people trying really hard to find symbolism and hidden meanings in her music videos (not gonna speak on whether they're right or not - I simply don't know for 100%) I think that that even if this "method" is not evil, it is very questionable at the very least. Riiight, well I'm a Christian AND artist, and very well educated. What exactly don't I 'understand'? Personally, I have seen enough to convince me that Abramovic is a Satanist using art (and undiscerning art-fans) to push Satanic ideas and practices into the public realm. Sounds like it would be easy but it actually isn't and you'll feel a mental urge to move for a while before you settle into it, it sounds very mundane but it actually does have a unique feeling, especially combined with breathing exercises.

@@stevesmith5883 I've done that before knowing about it or knowing that it's a meditational practice and i thought that that's what you meant so i asked you, damn kinda wierd one day i was just lying in when i just randomly spread my arms wide in a snow angel like position while still lying it felt weirdly comfortable and i for some reason had the thought of doing it and then i just lied there completely still for one and a half hour not even moving my neck or swallowing my saliva, i just lied there and I didn't even know why, after i got up i still felt wierd and at that time i was kinda addicted to jerking and after doing that i went two weeks straight without jerking once, i tried to do it like that again but it never felt the same again for some reason, not really the type of person to believe in wierd superstitions and am an atheist but this shit just felt different

I don't know of any direct relation between stillness and addictive or compulsive behaviours but I guess it calmed the mind and maybe had some effect on the part of the brain that led to that compulsion. I personally just do it because I tend to have quite a busy mind so silencing that for a bit, before sleep or something requiring focus can be beneficial. I'm not superstitous either and religion is an odd one as I have an interest in various occult practices (which is actually how I found out about stillness and some breathing) but I flit around too much in my interests to actually settle on one.
