That was dedication. Commendable. I know a few people that paint furniture. They are all using chalk paint and no one is using oil based. I have never used latex on wood or furniture because it peels and is not really sandable in my opinion. I keep asking questions about this painting of furniture but am more confused than before. Chalk paint being clay based, latex, enamel (one person told me). I am still researching but I am not a chemist. I appreciate your information.

Idk but I think it would only peel if you didn't prep the surface. Especially if it has a Shiney or waxy build up that needs to be sanded away first. Oh and cleaning it well with tsp or dawn or something.
