@CautiousPancake Whenever I try to play with mods the entire game becomes corrupted. I keep getting the player load crash. Ugh!!!

@@TheRandyGr I suggest creating a backup file before playing with Mods. There are a few guides for creating and using backups, that shouldn't be hard to find. At one point I had a setup that created a backup file every 5 minutes automatically, effectively an autosave. I don't use it anymore, as it's been a long time since I've had a glitch that made it feel necessary, and it was too tempting to turn back the clock when legitimate disaster struck. But backing up your game daily or hourly would limit the pain if a mod corrupts the primary save file. Worst case scenario, you do a complete reinstall and add back your most recent pre-crash backup file.

This was awesome. Absolutely horrible, albeit working, vehicle elevator. Usually, when I watch a tutorial video that has me say "Well THAT's not something I'll ever try", I just skip the video. Not this one. I will never try this, but have already watched it twice. Kudos to Peachy for figuring out *a* way to do this. It's not practical yet, but now that people know it's possible, people will use your design as a starting point for experimentation. Someone will probably stumble on a stupid but effective way to make it better. That's the way of these things. And thanks to Pancake for putting a smile on my face. It's been a rough year for me, and a really rough week, and this made me forget my troubles for a four minutes and 37 seconds, twice. Much love, and Merry Christmas.

What is the maximum floor that you can park your vehicle on?

From some of the height I got it was pretty decent, but the higher you go the more it drifts, which makes it harder to land on a platform.

I feel like i should have seen the snark coming....but I did not. I seem to recall there was a really slick "S" curve for ramp blocks that made getting vehicles onto and off of a ramp smoother. but I couldn't find those shapes when I looked for em.

Haha only pretend snark :D The 'S' curve ramps are pretty good at smooth entry and exit, but also saving blocks used (and way more practical for actual use :D)

It's a great idea! I did a quick test of that and didn't see any benefit, and in fact it seemed to work less well - I think there was too much wiggle room and the truck got stuck. The 0.5 pillars from the glitch vid and this need something to force you (or the truck) into the pillar to trigger the behavior - either the door or garage door. So the side walls don't benefit unless there's also another garage door .... hmmm maybe more testing required :D

Good video :) one of the things I wish they would fix with 7 days is the lack of vehicle variety / how crap the vehicles are, and why oh why is the 4x4 bigger than the roads it travels on? it is ludicrously enormous. They have models of lots of different vehicles in game now, why not make them usable? this is something I feel they could add (even as a cheap DLC) that players would be interested in. As it stands I almost never make the 4x4 or gyro in any playthrough.

You might want to check out the very popular Bdub's vehicles mod pack. It goes a long way to spicing up vehicle variety. I don't ever play without it since I discovered it.

I agree on the bdubs mod for extra vehicles, as I think they could add lots of minor variations without much effort, make it so that you can make a 4x4, or a slightly faster sports car with less storage, or a slower moving van with more storage etc. All the basics are there, just need some variation.
