Great clasp. Rigid interior shelves. kzbin.infoUgkxBrJOMRANMI82dPOK0qoDtHhP-JpbErUg Yeah the shelves sometimes get misaligned with their supports in the lid if you don't have the lid fully flat, or you twist the shelves as you're pulling them out, but pretty much a non issue; just reseat and you're fine. Some spools of thread are a little too big and cause the shelves to not close all the way, however with the clasp you can still get the lid locked if the shelves aren't completely collapsed without breaking things ... so far.

Brian, I wish I knew this a year or two ago. I store all my plastics in gallon size zip locks. I found out the hard way Elaztech does not play well with other types of plastics. I keep some in my car all summer long in a shore bag for quick on the go bank fishing. Most of my Z-Man plastics are in that bag because I like using them that much. I found out this year some fused together like the Zinkers and Hula Sticks. They also flattened a bit. Going forward I will store them as you recommend however I have a sizable stash of ZMan products that were exposed to high temps. My other plastics do not seem to be effected-Yamamoto mostly. I use ZMan more than other products so I will be shopping for some storage bags and keeping them upright. Thank you for the tip. I am sure other plastics can benefit from this storage method.

I do the same thing with Wal-Mart shoe boxes, Makes it easy to load and unload the boat based on the time of year. I have some boxes, like big 11 inch worms for example, that may stay in the house until about May or June, I also have hot weather grass specific boxes that won't be in the boat until summer. I don't know, may look into those speed bags, might take up a little less space! Most important thing though, no matter if it's Zoom, Gene Larew, Zman, keep the baits in their original packages, saves money and headaches!!

I just opened one of my tackle boxes and theirs 2 elastic baits down the bottom, a swimfeeder was rested against the big one and had totally melted on the side that was resting against the rubber lure. Another swimfeeder was gently touching another elastic bait and only had a little meltage because of this. I was baffled, the only conclusion i came to that made sense was the chemicals in the 2 different items react when in contact. ie. The hard plastic melts when in contact with the rubber lures, i was right 🙌💪👏. PS. Glad it wasn't the £20 lure that melted, it's caught my first big pike.

Elaztec from strike king was melting many years before zman came out with it....must be made about the same because they sure melt the same.
@foreignbeggar37834 жыл бұрын
yeah... if you throw those elaztech baits in a regular box, and it’s hot out... they’ll also melt. which sucks for two reasons. one) obviously it ruins the bait. but two) it can and will ruin that specific slot in your box. I had a ned dog just sitting in my box, I was out fishing on a hot summer day and later that night, I went to get something and it was just completely melted and molded to my box. I was pissed. i’m a shore banger, so I don’t have all of the room in the world for storage, so having to store all of my zman products in their bags just gets cumbersome. but they’re usually good baits, so I just kinda deal with it. but it also kinda blows that if I throw an elaztech swimbait on, if I throw it in my box and it’s hot out, it’ll usually end up ruined after a few days. sucks for me (us) but works out for zman I guess, cause then we have to buy new/more baits. btw... what swimbait was that, that you held up and we’re talking about keeping their form?
@mileswilloughby4 жыл бұрын

@jesseshumaker27184 жыл бұрын
So I’m going to have to disagree with u on this one B Lat . I’ve stored these in the plastics plano boxes but the bait isn’t touching the plastic it’s wedged between other elaztec baits while it’s sitting in my boat and they still melt together. So I’m wondering if just the presence of these baits near the Plano type boxes causes this reaction. I would say this would be the one big improvement z-man could make to gain extra market share and gain more adoption. Everything else about em rocks . and They still melt
