the events are currently incrementing by 150 badges per event, and with game devs being game devs let’s say you’d spend an 10 minutes per badge, that means at this rate if you want to 100% the next event, you’ll likely have to spend over 108 hours, or over 4 days and half days. remember when we used to complain about 100 badges in the hunt?

I was lne of the only people to like the hunt, i still do, and i just gave up and said no cuz the amount of time you take for a single game is getting ridicolous but i still hate the classic more. Couldnt even do one of the games i wanted to cuz roblox fucking decided to do it when i HAD to study for exams so i was doomed, like they did the other 2 at a pretty well time But i get why people like the classic and hate the games

I agree so much with this video. Events just feel so bland and unfun to play now, like all the games are chosen by profitability, which I'm pretty sure is why a lot of actually old games got declined from being added to the classic. I didn't play every game in the event, but out of the ones I did play the only one I found somewhat interesting was Arsenal. I really wish we could get something interesting again that isn't just made to appease investors. In my opinion, we aren't getting anything close to old events until the community take initiative. Roblox have shown that they are incapable of making anything with soul in recent years, so somebody should step in for them and make a community event similar to beesmas. There's so much more that could be done with the concept now like UGC prizes etc.

honestly same? doing this event just felt so horrible, it just felt like i just tried it out because i did the same thing with the other two, infact i stopped doing the event for like 2 days because i just wanted to give up on the event (i wasn't going for a 100% completion but still) and came back to try to get a score higher than 50%, the classic honestly just felt like the start of this, each game taking more than 1 hour, i didn't even have fun in it, the prizes were the only good part of it imo, honestly i wish they come back to the 1 badge per game format, i dont care if there are like 200 games or anything (as long as theres a reasonable timeframe)

I decided to speed run this Roblox event because I thought I could actually get on the leaderboards for once, so I pulled two all nighters with little sleep to complete all of the challenges landing 3rd place on the ninja team. I was excited that I got top 3 and then the timed quests came out and I fell all the way down to #14. I'm not going to 100% these events anymore either ESPECIALLY if they keep the timed quests.

the games, for speedrunners, was so stupid. because as long as you beat it within 7 days (note some beat it within 3 days) you could be in first place because it was just based on how fast you defeated the boss. and the games (not the lobby) sucks

The crazy thing is that most players seem to not realize how bad current events are. The idea of better events than this are so far back in the past that most people can’t conceptualize what good events are. The old stuff is now a distant memory. It’s as if Roblox planned this all along, to erase all memories of past events. Btw since these modern events are basically dev hunts I’m referring to old events with egg hunts specifically. This was the first event of The X trilogy where I decided to actually go for the leaderboard and I couldn't have picked a worse event to do so. Not only was this event hell to do because of the amount of bugs that were present, but the leaderboard didn't even work so my efforts were for pretty much nothing. The only time I had fun during the event was when I fell asleep for 30 minutes when doing Fashion Famous.I fully agree with this video and if I wasn't top 5 on the leaderboard for most of the event, I think I would've quit just like you did, because there's really not a point anymore, especially when Roblox barely QA test these events. I was wishing for events to come back since their removal in 2020, but now that they've returned, I'm wishing for their removal due to how sloppy they are. These events have so much potential, but instead of picking games that would put in as much effort as Arsenal or Michael's Zombies, Roblox just puts in games like "Shit in the toilet simulator" and that's the biggest flaw of this format.

That boxing game you hated took me 30 min without preparing beforehand I somehow beat randoms in the 5 player matches lol, but that ending is too agreeable. I had a time limit on how fast I could do the event, so I rushed through it , but even with the games seemingly trying harder this time (like a small adventure in arm wrestling sim,) I just did not truly care. I did it, but I didn’t want to at all. At that point it was just so I could stop thinking about it.

Events don't feel like events anymore. They've just essentially become a way for Roblox to promote already popular games, and if your game wasn't popular and is going to be in a Roblox "event" nowadays, it'd just be an ad of sorts to promote joining your game, no matter the quality. This isn't fun. EDIT: Let me clarify what I mean by how "this isn't fun." Roblox Events in the past were fun because each felt unique to play in. Now, take a look at the last three events. Where's the uniqueness of these events? Nowhere. Roblox just made you go into a bunch of games, typically the popular ones(some of them were low quality simulators), and in those games, you just have to complete some quests. That sounds unique on paper (which it kind of was when The Hunt first released) until you realize that the last two events were just copies of The Hunt. That's... not unique, that's just unoriginality at its finest. The Hunt was just scheduled randomly before Easter. Like sure, you get an "egg" as a prize for completing all of those games, and some games had an "easter" theme to them, but it didn't feel like The Hunt was for Easter. The Classic was themed around the good old days of Roblox, which sounds good until you realize Roblox brought games from the modern day and told them to make it Retro. Well, if you wanted a theme around the classics, then why not have some more games from the actual classic era of Roblox? (Oh, and we can't forget about the final boss for that event. That boss sucked.) The Games was sports themed, and while it did fufill that (for the most part, like wth are rhythm games doing here) it still didn't feel unique due to it being a clone of The Classic which was a clone of The Hunt. And don't forget, the last two events were just scheduled to be in the spring and summer. Like... what and why? To summarize, Roblox Events lost their high level of fun to me because these events ultimately don't feel unique to me. Egg Hunts were fun back then because they were unique, each hunt being different from the last one, and the ways to obtain those eggs felt cool and awesome. You take a look at Roblox's current events, and you'll feel sisyphean trying to complete it, unlike back then, where it was fun to get those eggs. At this point, I might as well say that these events are just cash grabs for Roblox. This is just my opinion, and I am not mad at Roblox. I'm just very disappointed on how they're handling events.

An example of a good dev hunt for me is definitely rbbattles. While I didnt like the shopping wars or the way to get the hidden badges everything else about the journey including the final battle was all worth it. This event in general just made me miss it more.

Personally the worst offender of this event is the fact that both basketball legends and hockey legends made it in the same event. FOR SOME REASON they have the same bloated copy and pasted descriptions, made by the same people, and the quests are both eerily similar. DON’T GET ME STARTED ON MOTORUSH. 5/10 event, and I’m being generous cause some of the games I had to do in public servers and it’s a whole other story entirely especially with volleyball

These videos are usually about the people who play the games for the event. However the sad reality is that players who just like playing said game(s), especially if its pvp or competitive, really have to deal with a lot of people who just kind of throw matches left and right for the sake of some badges and event hats. Ruining the experience for them as long as the event is active. Private servers exist, but not all devs are generous enough to make them free during events to combat this issue, let alone not everyone would be capable to gather enough people to spend time with. It's so pitifull and outright depressing to see this occur just for the sake to gain money. What a state we are in.

The event didn’t really have any stakes in it for people who aren’t big into the Roblox KZbin community as instead of picking the team your favorite creator is representing, you were better off just looking around the lobby and picking the team in first place. The amount of simulator games that were all the same copy and paste stand still and click the screen for half an hour to an hour in order to complete the quest.

Honestly a huge part of the problem is these roblox devs deciding to put the badges behind the most tedious and impossible tasks that you either needed to already be good at the game or had already spent a ton of time playing. In Motorush, my task was to complete the racetrack in under 90 seconds, while my friends had 110 seconds. Not only was the event broken, but I was prevented from even getting that badge because 90 seconds wasn't even remotely possible, at least with the starter bikes. Roblox also needs some option for participants to give feedback about certain games. It'll prevent the same games getting in the events that don't deserve it.

Honestly the events are becoming so excessive. Events like the Metaverse was even better. It had more time, less pressure and less games as well. And if I can remember there was like some hidden puzzle in the lobby. I'm not sure if The Games has that as well, but I doubt so. I've stopped doing these events ever since The Hunt as I already felt The Hunt had too many badges for only 2 weeks. Now with The Classic, less time and even more badges and again with The Games, same thing. More games, less time. I hope Roblox will be able to rebuild their amazing events

I completed all the hunt quests and even bought the bling track in the classic to 100% it fully but in the end this event just sucked and I ended up with 91% on it.

RIP, it took me 27 hrs across 3 days, with a median of ~25 min a game. theres just too many games and badges, and that itself discourages 99% of players from trying to 100% the event. i feel like some games were better (pull a sword) but others just were straight bad (sports games, fashion famous). hope u return to events if they make the next one much shorter. (not to mention the messed up leaderboard times and timewalled quests)

I want to even try doing this event, but it was really getting in the way of my motivation to do what I want while on vacation so I just ignored it completely and saw bits of it here and there knowing that it would be a waste of time if I did because to be honest, the only thing you're getting out of this is the pain of going through hours of nothing but horrendous game design filled with stuff that people barely even test but let diehard players willing to slave away their time do it for themselves instead. The accessories and getting a spot on the leaderboard don't even matter because of those wasted time and effort spent, it was becoming clear that the more they lean into the speedrunning aspect of things alongside having more of these events last only a single week or so LESS (it was a punch to the gut on the Classic because the entire duration lasted during an EXAM week; how fun.) then there is no point in having to care about this, any future events, and fear of missing out on any. At least more people are starting to wake up from doing these slop events, which I'm honestly glad it did.

I definitely agree with the video. Ever since Metaverse Champions, all events have been pretty bland and most of the time, its Roblox trying to capitalize off of it. They don’t put the good games in the event, with exceptions being arsenal, doors (hunt), and a few others. Its pretty much just Roblox pleasing investors for cash.

Honestly Feodoric, I don’t blame you, roblox used to put so much dedication and vision and excitement into these events, it kinda felt like substance. Now at this point they just haven’t cared, grinding out event after event without any second thought, a recreation of the last. Dawg i was going to 100% this event as I had classic and hunt but after playing around 10 to 12 games of the same exact grind boring simulator quests and then seeing blade ball was the same torture chamber as it was in classic i gave up. i could not bring myself to endure another 40 games of this. I genuinely fully agree that this event and the previous ones felt more like a chore. I am one of those kids who exclusively play only jtoh and rex and i liked using these events as a time to try new games but i dont want to play low effort simulators. genuinely somethjing has to change here

I was gonna 100% this like the other 2 events but then I gave up at 46% because the prizes, exclusive dev/star creator items, and games were all ass this totally felt like nothing but a chore

I think that the worst part of the whole event was the leaderboard situation. I guess you never found out from your own experience but for all leaderboard players, when the new quests came out, every single person's completed time got reset, so in the end the final times were forced over 7 days and the people who got on the final leaderboard were the ones who beat that easy boss first. So basically in the end, 100%ing the event all came down to nothing. :( I do really hope the events improve and even if they don't I will still continue to 100% them for no reason. :p

Events in idealistic way in my opinion should focus on having two large devhunts (like 20 games) with a ton of the larger games (100,000 to 3k) at the in the winter and the summer so they can actually make a good product, and having smaller monthly events with 3 to 4 games that give multiple prizes the focus on smaller games (2k to 500) similar to many sponsored events of the 2010's

I'm glad I didn't try to 100% complete it, i just got enough shines and silver for the lobby items and prizes which was fortunately enough points for mvp even on crimson cats, to unlock the last two prizes
