It seem like this, the type of place where the main items outside of the oxtail were made to order, but the sides have been sitting on the stove on a low simmer since yesterday😬. Especially given how early he said he went definitely feel like they scooped the last bit from the tray from yesterday and said “he’ll be OK.”

I ain't never, I say neva, seen Chime give a dish from any restaurant a 0 out of 10. But after that he turned around and gave a -1 out of 10. And then still recommended that you give them a try if you're in the area. I'm enjoying Chime's Detroit residency aka tour though. Also those ox tails looked so good to me. I wanted every single thing he showed to be a 10/10. But I appreciate his honesty.

I’m from Detroit and have never heard of this place probably for good reason. It looks like they precook the sides and they sit up until they’re sold. The corn wasn’t burned it was old and had been reheated probably multiple times. The only thing that was cooked fresh is the fish and chicken which is why the wait was so long.. get em chime! They a hot mess for that food!

The chicken was a great 2:1 deal and the catfish looked good plus the oxtail looked on point(needed rice to soak up that gravy/collagen). Cornbread decent but those sides… some people like that curdled cheddar, dry cheese on top Mac & cheese. Reminded me of the thanksgiving baked Mac that I hate. Baked beans didn’t look too bad, probably just needed a ketchup pack. Burnt corn is wild. They must’ve had terrible service for him to label it the “worst”.
