It legit isnt they were two different designations to the same experimental tank with different​ modifications they had separate designations for documentation so you could know how one performed over the other. the thing about this thing is the outer tracks were mostly going to be taken off for transport on train. on the ground it needed both sets of tracks to move otherwise the ground pressure would be too high and the suspension couldn't handle the weight without those outer tracks.

No... the 88 would not easily kill a t28, of course technically any gun can kill any tank if you hit the right spot, but considering even at the maximum combat performance and no defects in the rounds an 88 would still have trouble with a t28

@embey_mapping the cupola may work in warthunder but the actual damage done by aphe is only slightly less than full caliber ap rounds thus hitting the cupola would most likely not do anything and even in the best case scenario it would just kill the commander. As for the gun breach while it may actually penatrate if hit, the chances of a gunner hitting it at any range are tiny. Lower Hull irl would not pen, penetration tables are absolutely stupid And I have naught a clue what you mean by cheeks, I would assume you meant turret cheeks but considering there isn't a turret I don't have a clue

Wtihotu a bloody commander the tank can run properly. YOu are crazy. The gun breach is quite large with a huge circualr plate with a large radius, clear from any scope, and its quite thin too. Lower hull yould penetrate, most likely depelating the transmission of its use or even hitting ammo from spawl and shrapnel if it is stored there. By cheecks, people refer to them at the two sides on the front, next to the gun, on a turret or not.

@embey_mapping I'm not judging this off warthunder, a tank can function without a commander, its operations will be significantly worse but generally there was a crew member who was supposed to take over if the commander was knocked out, I would actually think you were basing this more off warthunder considering you seem to think that shells work at full capacity all of the time and a gunner is able to hit a target with upmost accuracy from over a kilometre As for the things you consistently are saying would pen, you are severely overating the 88, there is an instance of a tiger II getting in a firefight with a pershing from roughly a kilometre and not being able to pen it, the tiger II eventually got knocked out by the pershing though that was only due to the fight being at night and a building catching on fire behind the tiger giving the pershing much better vision

The name T95 was a name that was given to the T28 temporarily as it wasn’t certain if it was a tank or a gun carrier, in the end they decided that it was a tank because it was too slow and un agile to be a motor gun carriage.

You are the one spreading misinformation. The T28 technically had 3 different designations during development as they had disagreements about what category it fit into due to both its purpose and technical aspects. Initially it was the T28 Heavy Tank, this was then changed to T95 Gun Motor Carriage and finally T28 Super Heavy Tank.
